  1. Stormwatch vol. 1 and 2 Can we add the three variants of #44 (Gil Kane Cover, Watchmen Variant Cover, EC Comics Variant Cover) and the Travis Charest variant of Vol 2 #1?
  2. Nice copy for the grade. It presents really well.
  3. I LOVE collections like that. Very cool.
  4. I think it took me about a year to buy one.
  5. The second was in the April 11, 2011 census. Looking at the census history, it looks like the first 9.8 was potentially an upgrade from a 9.4 (!) (9.4s when from 18 to 17 and there was a new 9.8) Daredevil 1 (4/64,Marvel Comics) Universal 1,269 5.28 August 30, 2010 6 18 30 48 47 62 62 88 73 83 89 117 88 120 81 95 49 35 29 21 13 15 Daredevil 1 (4/64,Marvel Comics) Universal 1,288 5.28 October 18, 2010 1 6 17 30 50 47 63 64 90 73 83 90 119 89 123 83 95 49 37 29 22 13 15
  6. No, there hasn't been much action on the DD front, in general, and, as usual, what has been out there is all stuff I have in grade.
  7. Nothing! I've picked a pedigree or two here and there, but none of the 9.2s have been upgraded.
  8. The Church copy hangs over the 8.0 like a minty-fresh hammer.
  9. The Dentist. I don't know why it did, but that fact surprised me when I figured it out. I think it was because I only found that out a couple of years ago and it felt like it should have been common knowledge.
  10. insider knowledge or did i just miss a press release?
  11. no idea. with the Church books I assume it's the best known copy until I learn otherwise. it also sold for 70,000 22 years ago
  12. I think the Dentist's Superman #1 is a $3,000,000 book. It's the most valuable non-Action #1/Detecrtive #27 comic, in my mind. Other million dollar books from the also-rans: Mile High/Edgar Church Copy of Marvel Comics #1 Incredible Hulk #1 CGC 9.4 Batman #1 Church Copy (guess who owns this) Church All American #16 CGC 9.4 Captain America #1 Allentown CGC 9.8 Mile High/Edgar Church Superman #1 CGC 8.0 Superman #1 CGC 8.0 (the old 7.5) Amazing Fantasy 15 CGC 9.6 (x3)

  16. If you work up from the 9.0 price it might be expected to be a $30k book right now. Doubling value for every .2 is a rough guide to value for Silver Age books and 9.0 DD #1s sell for between $7500 - $8500. That puts you at $15,000+ for a 9.2 and $30,000+ in 9.4. Obviously, if 9.6s are at $35-38,000 then that rough guide falls apart here. If 9.6s were back at $50-60,000 then we'd be back on track
