  1. Trying the "short-term/super public flip" is insane to me. Flipping a book off of eBay that closed $200 under GPA because it ended at 3:00AM on a Wednesday? Yes. Flipping a high profile, nearly $300,000 book after 8 months? That wouldn't be my strategy. Hopefully it works out for them,
  2. It's really not a big deal. Killer book otherwise.
  3. So cool. I've got to add that to the silver age pedigree keys table. What grade?
  4. Also, the Church Wonder Woman #1 is missing so that's not hanging over anything.
  5. I'm thinking in a very alternative history sense. If that hypothetical Sensation #1 existed it would have changed the perceptions of the character's 1st appearance from the dawn of the hobby. It would be a different landscape. I think this actual 1st appearance has a chance to sell for $1,000,000+. In a better package, I'd be more confident of that number because it would have always been more valuable than the actual 1st appearance has been.
  6. A hypothetical Sensation #1 that was the 1st appearance of Wonder Woman would have multiple million dollar copies. I still think this book could crack seven figures, but no Wonder Woman on the cover just makes it weird (and the cover is to boot.)

  8. Stormwatch vol. 1 and 2 Can we add the three variants of #44 (Gil Kane Cover, Watchmen Variant Cover, EC Comics Variant Cover) and the Travis Charest variant of Vol 2 #1?
  9. Nice copy for the grade. It presents really well.
  10. I LOVE collections like that. Very cool.
  11. I think it took me about a year to buy one.
  12. The second was in the April 11, 2011 census. Looking at the census history, it looks like the first 9.8 was potentially an upgrade from a 9.4 (!) (9.4s when from 18 to 17 and there was a new 9.8) Daredevil 1 (4/64,Marvel Comics) Universal 1,269 5.28 August 30, 2010 6 18 30 48 47 62 62 88 73 83 89 117 88 120 81 95 49 35 29 21 13 15 Daredevil 1 (4/64,Marvel Comics) Universal 1,288 5.28 October 18, 2010 1 6 17 30 50 47 63 64 90 73 83 90 119 89 123 83 95 49 37 29 22 13 15
  13. No, there hasn't been much action on the DD front, in general, and, as usual, what has been out there is all stuff I have in grade.
  14. Nothing! I've picked a pedigree or two here and there, but none of the 9.2s have been upgraded.
  15. The Church copy hangs over the 8.0 like a minty-fresh hammer.
  16. The Dentist. I don't know why it did, but that fact surprised me when I figured it out. I think it was because I only found that out a couple of years ago and it felt like it should have been common knowledge.
  17. insider knowledge or did i just miss a press release?
  18. no idea. with the Church books I assume it's the best known copy until I learn otherwise. it also sold for 70,000 22 years ago
