Just like to have the []_[] symbols back to back on this thread. It looks cool. To me, at least.
You're a man of good taste.

Big thanks to Mr. Drum and crew for putting on a great show. And many thanks to all the boardies that swung by. Several of which made good-sized purchases that I am very grateful for. It was the best Heroes Con we ever had without selling a 5-figure book. The Usual suspects and movie spec books moved well. We sold 3 raw copies of GSX 1, ASM 300 9.8, FF 48, AV 8, etc. Golden age moved fairly well. Sold a few big Gold books around $1-2k range.
The trend continues and the market keeps rolling. New blood with good taste seems to join the pool monthly. Some times bad con sales are due to just not having the right stuff for that particular market or over pricing low-quality books. But I think a lot of times it’s just chance.
I set up next in Baltimore, but will be running around in San Diego next month. Hope to see some of you again soon!
everytime I swung by your booth you were out.. Literally everytime lol.

I bought a bunch of stuff off Popculture Playground out of Jacksonville Florida. My buddy also found a really high grade copy of Caliber Presents 1 as well. I def got books at good deals and left happy.

the old LCS here during the death of superman days had a line way out the door. You walked in and they had a casket in the middle of the floor filled with the book. It was hilarious.

I picked these up at Heroes Con this weekend. Asking Vanessa del ray and Tolay to sign these covers was hilariously awkward.

You could be right.
Avatar opening weekend (Domestic): 12/18/09
Crossed $2B worldwide: 9/8/10 (Week 38)
So it definitely went beyond Week 38 to achieve that final number. A much longer run to get that worldwide massive total.
theres no way endgame gets the same time frame of a theatrical run that Avatar got, but with that said...If it did there is no doubt it would beat it.

Didn't it take Avatar like 9 months to reach that number though?

This will be my 13th straight Heroes Con. Was up in the air on going this year but the thought of downtown Charlotte , Fuel Pizza and comics is to much to pass up.
is it me or does this years line up of artists etc seem weak?

heard some theories about where cap going back and staying in the past is going to create a multiverse etc. Which could def be the way they bring in Mutants etc. some interesting stuff is gonna happen now

just got back from a 9 am showing and it was sold out, which i thought was awesome. In fact the ticket taker said the entire day was sold out.
ill save my thoughts on the movie until everyone has gotten a chance to see it, But i absolutely loved it. Was it perfect? no , but damn it was awesome.

Have we heard if there is an end credits scene yet? I know they didn't play the credits at the premiere so who knows?

I was never prominent as a poster but I'm still around. Just don't really post much, mostly around for comic news etc.

I'm still in a hour long queue for a saturay showing at 9 am...
good lord this movie will be a monster.

glad he is now reunited with his wife. Rest in Power Stan. Thank you for all you ever did for this medium!

Why on earth could i not find a copy of jungle Action 19 at Heroes? I found every single issue except 19!
-
i bought way less than i normally do at this show but i bought higher quality this year as well so im sure thats why i got fewer books.
I will say this, alot more dealers this year had their prices on wall books very easy to see and i cant tell you how much i appreciate that. I like knowing what a book is priced at before i waste anyones time. Especially at a busy con like Heroes.

I asked cgc and cbcs to signature verify these for me for grading at HeroesCon and was turned down by both. I get it, its their call and can do what they want. Doesn't change my opinion of them. So instead I had Del Ray etc sign them and get a pic together with me and the book. Good times. They both love the covers and were super proud of their work.
