  1. #87 has been a big book in 9.6 for some time now. IIRC they're going well over $1K No bargain in 9.6 for this hot book. Recent prices for 9.2 and 9.4 has been quite strong and looks like up 75%+ over a year ago. It could go even higher if they have a John Stewart cameo in the movie. Might be the time to add an extra copy. My copy is only a CGC 9.2. In the process of getting my first 9.2 copy of this book.
  2. That's an amazing copy of 94 was it from a collection? If so were the rest of the books in similar condition?
  3. Selling a StormTrooper Helmet prop on Ebay from 1977 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150423033065&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT
  4. Just got this back from the framers. Such a cool Justice League page with the Red Tornado.
  5. A few statues and figures for sale. Will gladly make discounts to fellow boardies. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150415106295&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT
  6. David (Moonlite) is a stand up guy. I bought the same from him and got mine no problem. I don't see him screwing anyone over here over a 57.50 purchase. I'm sure with the holiday commotion it just got delayed.
  7. I don't see what the big deal is on this persons purchase. If you wanted to be the one who owned the best copy more power to ya. I see a lot of people taking jabs at this guy, but these are the same ones that snub their noses at anything less than high grade. People should just be happy for both the buyer and the seller of this book. If you're that jealous of the sale save your pennies so maybe one day you can buy a 9.9 copy as well. Buying comics is not always about if you can make money on them or not, if that's what it is to you then you're not a collector you're strictly a seller and that's obviously why you don't understand this purchase.
  8. Damn, Ryan, it takes a lot to satisfy your expectations! I wouldn't normally expect a list of prices prefaced by "okay, but not great" to then have a bunch described as "new GPA high". I think a #1 8.5 with LT pages for $6350 is huge. It means people will pay up for ANY copy that's in reasonably high grade. I have a slightly different take on the #11, which is that its price is holding up remarkably well considering all of the new supply of HG copies that have come on the market, particularly given that 9.4 is no longer highest in census. True enough. Mind you, I don't consider the GPA highs to be that accurate on these books since they do not include the recent Mound City results or other sales. I think the problem with GPA is that a lot of the HG SA DCs are not sold on eBay so their information is a bit out of touch with the market. That being said, I am happy that the market is not overly frothy yet for early SA GL issues. Looks like it is setting things up for a nice run next year or early 2011 before the movie comes out. There is still time to build speculative stashes, if you can find the books in high grade! Hopefully they won't skyrocket too quickly.
  9. It does make you wonder then on why the same 4 copies keep getting flipped if it isn't for profit.
  10. Or do thay have remorse and flip it hoping to make a little extra and try an search out a deal on a different copy?
  11. So are any of the Top Neal Adams 76-89 run OO collections? Just wondering if anyone knows.
  12. Why is it whenever I decide on a title it starts to heat up? Why can't they stick with the Avengers being hot?
  13. Why thank you. I'm working on completeing this small run in 9.0 or better. I'm thinking it will take me a couple of years because of the cost. Love the different covers on this run.
