Fresh back from CGC today: I had this one pegged as a 3.0 so I'm happy with this grade: Not so happy with this one. Thought it was a 9.6 for sure. I remember pulling this book out of a long box at a dealer's booth at WW Chicago a few years ago. Just after I picked it up I met Greggy for the first time. Bought this one raw here on the boards from Foolkiller:

Since you stated earlier in the thread that you didn't Fast Track these books, you can pretty much count on these books not being actually graded until around May 16-18....maybe slightly earlier than that. Even though CGC states a "20-day turnaround" on Modern submissions on their webpage, that only means that they will probably get them graded and encapsulated within that timeframe. My guess is that you will actually receive your books back on May 25th (5 weeks from when they show received). And I'll bet I get it right within +/- 2 days. (thumbs u

I saw a Amethyst 35 cent variant at the Steel City show this past weekend. It wasn't for sale. I just picked up one of the Amethyst #1 35 cent price variants in a long box at a local shop for 50 cents.

YES! I heard someone will be listing some Dave Stevens cover slabs today in the cheaper 9.4 and 9.6 grades this morning. A much better overall long term investment than those uber expensive 9.8s and 9.9s.

I've noticed I'm buying a lot of comics lately with scantily clad beautiful women on them (Dave Stevens covers, Lady Mechanika, Warlord of Mars, Warlord of Mars Dejah Thoris, Cavewoman Jungle Jam, Escape From Wonderland, Return to Wonderland, Monster Hunters' Survival Guide, etc.). It must be a phase I'm going through.
