The deal has been consumated. I finally have a copy of 3-D Zone #16!

All I can say is WOW!

I don't really care about the glasses. Like Nick said, I just want a copy!

I was able to come up with a price rather easily. Assuming we match the last sale price for a raw copy ($39.00), then subtract $30.00 because the glasses aren't included, we come up with a grand total of $9.00. Sound OK to you?

Hey I also have an extra signed and numbered copy of the #4 sketchbook if you are missing it, I saw #2 and #3 listed in the thread but not #4. I'd be interested in it if Soloist doesn't take it. I definitely gotta get me a complete set of these. The main part of my Secret Santa gift this year (that I gave) was a Vol. #2 and #3 from this set and one was signed by Dave himself. Unfortunately, the recipient didn't seem that pleased with what I gave him.

I'll probably be starting another big sales thread sometime tomorrow. I just made a big book purchase and would like to offset most of that cost with sales of other books. It will mostly be raw stuff but I'll be offering some books I didn't think I'd sell right now. There will be a few slabs but not too many. I will be starting another big sale in a couple of weeks as soon as a bunch of slabs (almost 100) start coming back from CGC.

I just received a box today from HotFlips that contained part comic supplies and part comics. A nice Spider-Man: Blue set (had none of these), some nice bagged Transformers comics, more Silver Age plastic bags (2,000 to be exact) and some sweet new magazine size flip-n-stick bags for my CGC graded mags. Been watching a 3-D Zone #16 (one of the few Dave Stevens I don't have) on eBay for a week now. It just ended tonight. It was at $16.00 with 5 minutes left and I had a snipe in for $31.09. Thought it was mine. Damn thing sold for $39.00!! I still don't have a copy! Maybe I'll find one in a dollar box soon.

Talked to Eric at CGC. He is having me send the book back to be pressed. He offered a full reimbursement if it doesn't make grade, but I told him I wanted the book back regardless, so he said they would credit me the difference in value if the grade drops. He was really nice and just kept reiterating that they would take care of me and make it right. Eric is a good guy. He's helped me out a lot both with submissions and any questions I might have had. Some recent magazine pickups..... Cracked #2 Please tell me that's not what I think it is..... Classic Frazetta cover.... You Golden Age collectors will love these.... (thumbs u And a couple of Inside Comics editions (#2 and #4) to finish things off.

Shaken comic syndrome. Damage like that happens during shipping when the book is loose in the well and slams into the side of the well. Especially when the book has a bit of edge overhang as it appears this one does.
