  1. Some recent magazine pickups..... Cracked #2 Please tell me that's not what I think it is..... Classic Frazetta cover.... You Golden Age collectors will love these.... (thumbs u And a couple of Inside Comics editions (#2 and #4) to finish things off. That is all for now. Please carry on.
  2. It simply amazes me that there are comics from the 1940's and 1950's still out there that are in this sweet of shape. Beautiful books!
  3. Just picked this one up on the cheap from a local shop..... Like I said in the "This Week in Your Collection" thread, I'm hoping to get Bernie Wrightson to sign it at the Dallas Comic Con in late May. Besides Desert Wind, does anyone know if a Signature Series witness will be there?
  4. I'm hoping it ends up in a Signature Series slab if I can get some Bernie Wrightson sigs on a few books at the Dallas Comic Con in late May. It's a really sweet copy except for a 1/2" tear along the top edge of the front cover. The technical grade may not end up that high but it will look sweet in a SS slab. (thumbs u
  5. WE WANT SCANS! WE WANT SCANS! WE WANT SCANS! WE WANT SCANS!
  6. My copy from eBay shipped today. When I get it I'll post a pic of that one. (thumbs u
  7. WOW! That books looks like it's in SWEET condition! The colors just really pop on that one. Congrats!
  8. What came first - this or The Creature From the Black Lagoon? They sure do look a lot alike.
  9. Hope you didn't pay more than cover price for it, these are still available from the publisher for $5 : http://twomorrows.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=486 Looks like he paid $17 with shipping. Way to throw a little cognitive dissonance up at him! It was actually a little over $12.00 because I bought 2 other books at the same time and he combined shipping on all 3 books. No big deal though. I had forgotten that he posted earlier in the thread about the Alter Ego #21s from the publisher.
  10. Picked these up recently..... And last but not least...this book with the ever so infamous cover.....
  11. Issues #1 and #3 are the ones on the outside so you're probably getting 1 thru 3. (thumbs u
  12. Gee Nick...why did you lie to the guy? Ya just can't trust anyone these days!!
  13. Hi Pat. You can't see it in the scan but there is a long non-color breaking crease that runs from the right edge of the front cover (up near the last Y in MYSTERY) all the way to the bottom edge. It looks like it should be able to be completely pressed out. There is also a small impact ding at the bottom right corner of the back cover. (thumbs u
  14. Yeah, the problem has been sellers are listing it under every category but what it is. So you need to setup a few Ebay agents. - 3-D Zone #16 - Space Vixens 3-D - Space Vixens I found a few that sold recently that by mistake I was able to find them post-sales, and they had some crazy listing titles. Don't tell everyone the secret. It's too late! Actually, I already knew to search for this book in other ways than "3-D Zone 16". I've used the "Space Vixens" term as well and have found some of these that way. Most of the time I was too late (the auction ended) or I got outbid at the last minute. But I did use Nick's suggestion and did save a couple of eBay searches related to this book and other Dave Stevens stuff. (thumbs u
  15. The same question keeps popping in my head every time I see a pedigree book: "How do you tell if a comic book is from a pedigree or not?" I know most of the Golden Age pedigree books have a certain type of marking or stamp on them. But how do you tell if a lot of these Bronze Age books are pedigreed books? Do they have markings too? Do they come with COAs?
  16. 3-D Zone #16 (Space Vixens). At one point, I could never even find a copy. Now over the past year I've seen multiple copies come out, though spread out when they are offered. And I STILL don't have one! I did, however, find a nice copy of Alter Ego #21 on eBay today with the Dave Stevens cover from Iger Comics Kingdom.
