Just received a sweet copy of Verotik Illustrated #2 in the mail today. What are you guys using to cover up certain parts of these types of books after you scan them and want to show them on here?

*raises hand* Again, that's OK. Immediately after that auction ended and I posted in here, I Googled "Verotik Illustrated 2" and happened to find another nice copy on eBay with a Buy It Now price. So I snatched it right up for $25.00. (thumbs u Amazon has a number of copies but they start at $50.00 and go up from there.

Not a big deal. I just found another nice one on eBay that was a Buy It Now. Paid more than that one went for but half of the price they're asking on Amazon.com. (thumbs u

Very nice! I just submitted my Betty Page 1 Jumpin Jungle Jive to CGC. We'll see how it does. Bought it from Wrightson Fan, and was blown away how sharp this book was. Good luck Nick!

I think the Stevens stuff is in such high demand now that you wouldn't have a problem selling any Dave Stevens cover slab in 9.4 or higher that will more than cover the cost of slabbing. That's just my opinion though. I guess we'll just follow your sales thread and see, huh? (thumbs u

That's just my opinion though. Of course, I thought all of those books would be 9.6s or 9.8s but as usual CGC begged to differ I guess.

I just got the grades back on the Dave Stevens cover books I sent in to CGC and I'm pretty happy with most of them. Here they are: Airboy #5 CGC 9.6 (to go along with my 9.8) Alien Worlds #4 CGC 9.6 (I'll be selling my 9.4 in my new sales thread) Cheval Noir #7 CGC 9.4 King Kong #1 CGC 9.8 and CGC 9.6 (selling the 9.6) Shadow and Doc Savage #1 CGC 9.6 and CGC 9.4 (selling the 9.4) True Love #1 CGC 9.6 and CGC 9.4 (selling the 9.4) Vanguard Illustrated #2 CGC 9.6 Should have them back sometime next week.

I posted this book about a month ago in another thread when it had a haze on the front of the slab from removing a sticker placed on there by the seller. But it's fresh back from CGC in a brand new holder. See below.

Did you "fast track" the books thru CGC? Sometimes I think "fast track" just means you'll get it only 1 week late instead of 2 weeks late.

I changed my mind and just added a bunch of nice slabs including some Signature Series and Double Covers to my sale and I'll be adding more too. I'll also start another slab sale once more books start arriving from CGC next week.

Nice Ghost Rider #1! My CGC 9.0 copy is on it's way back from CGC after being reholdered.

I have an Airboy #5 CGC 9.8 (still not for sale yet) but I do have another raw copy at CGC right now. Here's hoping for another 9.8 (or at least a 9.6).

I wonder why that one didn't show up on my search or I wasn't notified by eBay.... Oh, well. I have a beautiful copy coming anyway. And I did see that copy on Amazon. I just didn't want to pay $75.00 for it.
