  1. Didn't you own this book at one time? Nope, I never owned it.
  2. i'm having my 3rd comic book garage sale in two weeks. moved about 150 $1 books both previous times. still waiting for my first boardie to show up. And here I thought this was a thread about comic related FINDS.....
  3. Cal payed for an ASM slab right after I contacted him after his 2-week hiatus from the boards. Good guy to deal with on purchases. (thumbs u
  4. I saw in here recently that Barnes & Noble carried some new comics. So I popped into a local one earlier today. They actually had one copy of Catwoman #23 left at $2.99. I snatched it right up of course. Didn't find anything else though (no 3Ds). Looks like this B&N only carries some of the Marvel and DC books...nothing else but TPBs.
  5. Yes, we on the boards are geniuses. No boardie ever pays too much or sells for too little. It's only the suckers out there in the general public. We are also all winning poker players. I sense just a tad bit of sarcasm in there.....
  6. Yeah. Many people don't realize how time consuming buying and selling comic books is if you do it right. Finding and buying the comics, counting pages, grading them, bagging and boarding, labeling, scanning, listing, packing, shipping...it's all part of the process. I feel like I really accomplished something if I get 25-30 comics listed on any given day. But it sure as hell beats the corporate world I used to work in.
  7. not for me...things have really picked up lately...50 percent better? Me either my problem is finding time to pack up sales and time to list more. Diversity..... I agree. I have thousands of comics to list on eBay but can't seem to get past the 1,300 mark. Not enough hours in the day.....
  8. Just like a nudist camp, you display what you want to display.
  9. Funny, Greggy gets 2 9.9's in his submission but all eyes focus on this turd Why focus on the good ones when you can neggy greggy?
  10. he told me he had a an ultra rare man of Steel #1 that i never saw before. he didnt offer to sell it and just showed me a pic. i thought it was cool and would just buy one on ebay or someone on the forum after everyone checking it i am starting to be convinced it is a fake variant... Ask him (owner, seller, etc.) to give you an issue and month/year of publication. Also find out if it was published in the USA or a foreign country. See if he can provide some inside pics as well.
  11. Yeah, like the ones with the big middle finger. Saw that coming from a mile away....
  12. Thanks! I picked these two up a few weeks ago but just scanned them now. Very nice!
  13. Wow...I wonder what it will be by this time next week?... Books that were hot last week like Ventriloquist just seem to get hotter. When a bunch of these start drying up who knows? I was going to say 35 but clearly it'll go higher than that mark. That's music to my ears. I picked up about 18 of the DC 3D books just this week (some dupes) and I'm waiting to see what happens on eBay before I decide to list some of them.
  14. Barnes and Noble is very laid back when it comes to stocking new comics. I live near 4 or 5 of their stores and they don't bother putting new books out on Wednesdays. They are likely just sitting in the back still in the box. I didn't know Barnes and Noble even sold new comics. When I lived in northern Illinois the B&Ns there didn't anyway. I'll have to check the OKC stores to see if they do. I had to go to 3 stores today to do it, but I did manage to obtain 4 of the new DC 3D cover books - Green Lantern, Justice League, Justice League Dark and Superman. How many are there all together? 13 each week for the next 4 weeks = 52 (not including Forever Evil 3d) Guess I better be at the LCS early Wednesday afternoon then.

  16. I was watching that one too. I picked up a nice raw about a week ago so I'm going to submit that one for grading. And I just won a Todd #1 2nd printing on eBay for 99 cents.
