  1. What’s everybody’s favorite cover from the Deadman run? I’ve always liked 214.
  2. Interesting sale here from Probstein. They called it "super high end", though to me it looks low end. Seems to be pretty yellow, not particularly sharp... https://www.ebay.com/itm/363564992726?nma=true&si=5ZxWXjuL%2B642z2rwrKdWrZV5kMg%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
  3. I think it’s definitely worth slabbing. 2nd prints are and will be on the rise in the future, IMO. That, and with this book in particular, due to potential counterfeits/printing confusion, etc, having it slabbed will only help the value and sales potential.
  4. Dang, someone should snag this.
  5. Probably gotta be these with a few other possible contenders. The 1st Ghost Rider is probably an 8.0 or so, 1st Shang-Chi is maybe a 9.2.
  6. Hey guys. I’m looking for a small safe which would be .. safe.. to hold a few comics, sports cards, and video games. Basically I’m looking to put my very best stuff in this safe. I know a while ago I read up on this and it was feared that certain safes could be harmful to paper collectibles. I can’t remember if this was due to some sort of coating in the safe or if it was because these types of collectibles need air to “breathe”. Any suggestion or info appreciated!
  7. Actually, if you mean the right edge, that sort of jagged look is really common on ASM 300, so I'm pretty sure CGC wouldn't be too harsh on it. But yeah, i'm thinking probably 8.0 overall with the back damage, regardless. A damn good looking 8.0 though! And I think I picked this up for about $20 circa ....2008?
  8. Hey guys, this book is in very nice shape and at first glance appears to be high grade. On the back though, pretty much in the middle of the book are what look like 2 scrapes. They go though the cover and a page or two inside. Could this possibly be a production issue? How do you think CGC would treat this and what might the book grade if it’s otherwise, let’s say, a 9.2. Would it get a qualified grade perhaps?
  9. For the record, I wasn't necessarily saying the seller is crooked, just that the book doesnt look like an 8.0 to me, and that the crack only makes it more suspicious. Some of the corners look eww in those closeups.
  10. Not sure if this seller is a member here, but I am suspicious about this book. Doesn’t really look like an 8, has writing on the front, and a crack in the slab. Hm. https://www.ebay.com/itm/184527659451
  11. There’s a sweet Batman 1 pg 5 ending on eBay tonight so thought I’d dredge up the oooool’ thread! FYI, it’s not mine and I don’t know the seller.
