  1. Sketch ops are NOT part of the Legends Tour. We do sketch ops on an individual creator basis. We don't have any more sketch ops set for 2017. But look for several to happen in 2018.
  2. Sean I KNEW you would be surprised and delighted at this news!!! Thanks for the welcome smile.

Kaluta (The Shadow, Starstruck) JUST ADDED and more to be added..... Desert Wind proudly announces its 2017 Legends in the Fall Tour, taking place between October 5th to November 12th. The list of legendary creators is second to none and is... LEGENDARY!! More details and more names will be coming up quickly but start going through your long boxes now and finding those great books to get signed. The mail-in and in-store submissions deadline will be September 29th. We will be accepting walk up submissions at all shows that Desert Wind will be exhibiting at and the Desert Wind booth up until the end of the New York Comic Com on October 8th.
  4. We'rrrrre back........ Desert Wind is officially back to getting books signed for customers by Todd McFarlane. As many of you know, Todd McFarlane has very strict rules about getting books signed and graded by CGC. He only does two CGC signings a year, once in the late spring and once in the early winter. The exact dates of these signings are not announced until we get much closer to the signing date due to Todd's hectic schedule. So we simply announce accepting books early and will accept books up to the point when the signing is two weeks away, so submit early so you don't get caught by surprise and miss the signings. The price to get a modern tier book signed and graded is $95.00. That price includes grading of a modern tier book, our witnessing and handling fee and Todd's signing fee. It does NOT include return shipping or the CGC $5.00 form fee. Please refer to the Celestial-comics.com website for other costs such as shipping and fast track fees. You must fill out a Celestial-Comics submission form found on our website to submit with any books submitted. There is NO limitations to the number of books submitted. This signing will be running after the Legends in the Fall Tour hence we may be able to get additional signatures on the book prior to Todd signing. Contact us for more details. We look forward to once again helping customers to get their books signed by Todd. We started the Todd CGC signings back in 2010 and are super excited to be back after our short absence. Please send all emails questions to Sharon@celestial-comics.com.
  5. Desert Wind is back to business... We proudly announce our signing with Todd McFarlane taking place this winter. Look for our full announcement to be posted shortly. Desert Wind is excited to be helping customers to ge their books signed by Todd again.
  6. Ok pardon my question to Stef_le_Preux as being a little misunderstood. What I meant by who are you, was because while we may know someone by their name in emails (i.e. Desertwindcomics@hotmail.com is Chandler Rice), that doesn't mean that we know people's CGC handle (board name). So when someone says " you haven't responded to me", if I don't know who that person is, it is difficult to truly give them an answer. Now to reply to Chazgee, customer service can be a tricky thing. First, we do NOT deal with customer service issues or questions here on the CGC boards. That's simply because it is nobodies else's business as to what questions a customer has. Now you can say, "well I need to know so I can decide if I want to do business with you or not". And to that I say, ask around, ask CGC directly. There will ALWAYS be those that will speak poorly about someone because they like to cause trouble or simply like to steer business to their friends. But customer service has no place on the boards. Our phone number is posted in numerous locations and IF someone is having an issue getting a hold of us, then simply pick up the phone. Also, regarding your comment about limiting our business, then what happens when we are doing that one special signing with that one special creator that you have been waiting years to get and YOU happen to be the one cut off from getting your book(s) signed, then what do you have to say? And finally, regarding hiring more people? Sorry but that is not a simple thing to do in a niche business like this that requires people who have specific knowledge and/or skills. We simply do the best we can. Thank you.
  7. Who are you and what is your email address? If you sent the email to Sharon, please forward them to me at chandler@desertwindcomics.com. Sharon has been swamped with email requests and with us doing multiple shows it has been difficult to keep up.
  8. Yes the Don Perlin signing is over with. We hope to have Don as part of the Legends Tour in the Fall.
  9. San Diego Comic Con is here and so are some GREAT signing opportunities with Desert Wind. The time is now and these are HOT, so let's get moving. Frank Miller signing $145.00 Jim Lee signing $75.00 Robert Kirkman signing $75.00 Charlie Adlard (UK) signing $90.00 John Romita Jr signing $55.00 Scott Snyder signing $60.00 Greg Capullo signing $60.00 Len Wein signing $70.00 Joe Rubinstein signing $55.00 The prices listed are for a CGC modern tier submission (published since 1975 and valued no higher then $200) and they include grading, witnessing and signing fee. The price does not include form fee or return shipping back to you. SDCC Special: If you submit more than two books, we will pay your form fee. If you don't want grading or you want the book submitted under you own CGC account then subtract $25 from the price. If you would like to combine any of these signing ops on the same book (i.e. Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo) then subtract $35.00 from the price listed for each ADDITIONAL signature. (i.e. $60.00 + $60.00 - $35.00 = $85.00) or if you would like to add any of the other guests listed on the San Diego Comic Con guest list or artist alley with one of these signing ops, it is typically $10 per extra signature plus the artist's fee. You can contact us at chandler@desertwindcomics.com for a combination price. The mail in submission deadline to the Desert Wind offices is Wednesday, July 12th. This mail in deadline is the last day for books to arrive in the Desert Wind offices due to us packing and leaving for San Diego. Perlin penciled Transformers for nearly two years from early 1986 to late 1987, and then became Marvel's de facto managing art director, a role he served from 1987-1991: And in 1992, Perlin and writer Kevin VanHook created the popular series Bloodshot for Valiant Comics.
