I think without the stain it tops out at 9.0 but I'd guess 8.5. The deduction for the stain I'd put at least 1.0 so final grade of 7.5.

Ah, that would explain why I hadn't noticed for comparison purposes. But still, good to know and much appreciated!

Great response. I think I’ve said all that I can say as far as impartial opinions go and will take your lead in doing the same. Best wishes to all invested in this thread in an actual way. I hope this was a misunderstanding and those excellent books make their way to you all safely and securely. I don’t prefer to buy, sell, or trade anywhere else as collectively this is a comic lovers paradise. Best wishes to everyone unless you are truly a scoundrel…then I hope karma finds its way quickly to your doorstep.
Well said and same from me. Let's not do this again real soon.

In the future, please do not claim any books in my sales threads. I'm not interested in doing business with anyone that would act like this under these circumstances.
What a laugh. Who wants to do business with you when you think it's ok to take money for no books and radio silence. Tell you what though, if I do a take on one of your books then go ahead and ship it to me and I'll pay you and talk to you when I feel up to it.

I think that the concern came to head because he was here on the boards and not responding to PMs or the thread. I've seen boardies have sympathetic concerns with people who just up and vanish in the middle of a sales thread (the guy who has family in the Ukraine comes to mind).
I have no dog in this fight, but with personal or life problems or even no problems at all - if I had pulled the pin on a book, paid for it and my PMs were not being responded to while the seller was active on the boards, I'd be doing exactly what was going on in this thread.
Amen.

Very sorry to hear this. I've made a handful of three figure purchases on the boards that all went well, two with returns.
I'd like to see the "Goods and services" stated specifically when sellers post saying they'll take PayPal. Naive newcomers like me might not know the accepted practice. I've even had sellers state on their invoice "if using the friends and families option in PayPal then be sure to include your e-mail so that ..." to hint that it's normal practice not to use Goods and Services.

LOL. Never heard of these things. Born and bred to be a collectible, am I right? What a great business plan. Maybe next time do a product people find value in using.

Crassus makes good points. I think the problem with MCU is simply poor story telling in multi layers. For example, Riri pops out of nowhere to leapfrog Tony Stark's genius. As a 19 year old black woman she out geniuses Stark. No history, no prototypes. You thought Stark was exceptional? Check out this chick. It's good woke but not good story telling. The whole franchise has turned into stories made up by boy scouts around a campfire. No imagination, no creativity, poor story telling. Only dwindling numbers of cult fans left.

I'm having a difficult time identifying the nice Mystique covers, especially early ones. It seems she had many early appearances with no cover representation at all, or at best a minor showing.
I see Avengers Annual 10 is her first cover. Nice, but one of many on a busy cover.
Can I get some help? Thanks!

The best I could find is USPS. First Class package under 3 pounds is $22 but no tracking and no insurance and takes at least 12 days. Or priority mail for $43 includes tracking and up to $200 insurance arrives in 6 to 12 days. Either way, you submit a customs form with the package and the package is subject to opening and inspection by customs, so something could get stolen or damaged.

How do you ship a slab from the USA (Florida) to Canada with tracking and insurance? I thought I could send it as a first class package (under 3 pounds) with tracking and insured for up to $400, and this would cost ballpark $30. But the post office told me tracking is only available with priority mail at a cost of about $43.
