  8. Hey everyone...so a short update. Raph's sister posted the following on FB: It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved, Raphael Justin Kum-Ming Loh. He died suddenly on Saturday January 14, 2017 at about 4:00 a.m. He had been complaining about a blockage that he tried home remedies to deal with. He attended a doctor on Friday and was given a prescription that seemed to work. He was happy and smiling and he told us he loved us. The next morning he complained of abdominal pain and then he collapsed. He died instantly. We don't have a coroner's report yet but we suspect based on what we saw that there was a rupture, or a disconnection. There was no way we could have foreseen it and nothing we could have done to prevent it. Funeral arrangements will be announced after we get an answer from the coroner. Raphael, or as we as a family called him, Kum-Ming (pronounced "Gum-Ming"') was my parents' only son. He was Leena Chan's one and only. He was our whole world. He leaves behind his grieving wife, Leena Chan and his parents, Joachim Loh and Jenny Loh. And me. We are nothing short of absolutely devastated. And even if it seems like we dont want to talk to you, we do. We don't want to feel alone in our tremendous grief and from what it seems like, there are many of you out there who are also in shock and are grieving. Please tell us a story about how our boy and the light of our world touched your life.
  9. Last chance for send-ins for the Paul Rudd signing and to pre-order copies of the Movie Promo variant (signed by Rudd only or Rudd and Evangeline Lilly)
  10. Rich...I will have a few books for it FYI depending on price.
  11. $75 deposit required now...remainder due after the books are back from CGC.
  12. I just won't do business with him in the future. Baker not being part of the cast was my sole reason for feeling that the deal should stand. Had it been anyone else who was actually IN the movie, I would have agreed with him. Thanks all.
  13. Hey guys, have a question about a possible probation issue. I'm running a cast signed Force Awakens opp. We were looking to have Ford, Hamill, Driver, Fisher, Mayhew, Daniels, and Baker plus we are looking at adding about 5-6 others. Baker passed away...but 1) he actually is NOT in the cast of Force Awakens. Jimmy Vee played R2 in this movie and 2) when dealing in the cast book, it's still a cast book, We already have money into the books and someone ordered one and since Baker can't sign they asked about backing out. I told them that the books have been started and it was a non-refundable deposit and the above issue with Baker vs Vee and he said ok. Then out of nowhere over a week later he opens a case with Paypal that the item isn't as described. Paypal sided with me. Then he open a non-received case and because I can't provide tracking since the book won't be done until Jan and Paypal sided with him. As I've already gotten money into this, he didn't have a problem when he first contacted me, is this something that should go on the probation list?

  16. But they have the new DC logo on them, so they were obviously a new printing. Somebody just alerted me to these posts - This is what I know from being there firsthand. Yes, the print runs on the new BA12 "Three Harleys" Fan Expo Canada Exclusives were horrible. There were common defects, and the funny thing was while there were common defects no comic had more than one of the common defects. So a book of the color print run would have a crunch at the middle of the top, a crunch at the middle of the bottom or a color breaking crescent on the back cover, but only one of them, not two or all three. Considering how beautifully the MegaCons were printed it was a real downer how these looked. The front covers of the colors present well but when you look at the black backs you can see the issues. The foils were just a mess with stuff like big crunches along the bottom right and they would stick together at that point. They are pictured below - When it comes to the ones reprinted with the DC Logos - Fan Expo apparently requested another print run of the Batman Adventures 12 Foil they had at MegaCon featuring HQ, Batgirl, & Poison Ivy - The new run was printed with the new DC Rebirth Logo - Print run is supposed to be 1000, and is pictured below. These books also had issues on par with the new "Three Harley" foils for Toronto Later in the day Thursday another box was discovered. At first it was thought to be leftover color copies from Megacon. It was a box of 250 of these which also have the new DC Rebirth Logo on it - So there was only one box of 250 of this color book pictured above and from what I understand it was not requested by Fan Expo. The print run was horrible. Worst of all the print runs, and that's saying a lot because the other three runs were horrible. They were put out on the tables for sale late in day. The book was just sitting on the exclusives table and I saw and heard that a lot of people passed on buying it since it looked so horrible. I don't think the sellers on eBay know what they might have. From what I heard the book eventually did sell out and no other box was discovered. I was at the show. I confirmed with the Fan Expo Merchandise Manager that this was the only box they got. He even let me in the back when he went in to look through the remaining items and there were none left. The show held back 10 copies, the rest were sold out. And I can confirm as someone that was there that the print run was TERRIBLE. I'd say that Dre and I have the absolute best of the best copies!
  17. Chances are probably not too good...with just celebs chances are slim they'd get enough submissions to make it worthwhile...especially since they'll have a few facilitators there like they did last year in Anaheim. (I'll be one of them)
  18. Did you send the PM letting the person know you are nominating him to the PL? I did and I have not received a response.
  19. Username: Benjamin Cruz Order a copy of ASM#1 signed by Stan Lee, Dan Slott, Humberto Ramos, Victor Olazaba, and Edgar Delgado. Book was signed by signed by everyone and submitted to CGC...came back in September and I invoiced him for it. Said he needed a whlie to pay and I told him I'd give him time. Then nothing... I learned about the probation list in December but at first I thought he was no longer on the boards as he was such a new user so I didn't bother but just saw that in Jan and Feb he has posted on some threads so I figured it was time to send in the information.
  20. So instead of scrolling through 2900 pages in this thread, thought I'd just ask: I had my first non-paying buyer. I gave him WAY more than 30 days but he stopped responding so now I guess I need to report it. Do I just put the information down in the thread and then he's added to a list? Or is there some kind of public flogging involved.
  21. I will be heading to Big Wow for sure and will be accepting books.
  22. Anyone have any experience with the HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus. I've messed around with the setting but having issues scanning. If I copy something it comes out great, but opening it and using the flatbed part the image is pretty fuzzy. Any help would be appreciated.
  23. Did you have Francesco sign one of these at Wizard World Chicago? He did a drawing in one because he thought the bound book was so cool and these look a lot like them.
