  1. I asked Art on Whatnot about the remarries and he said they are setting it up soon and he's going to make them amazing.
  2. I wonder how much strain we all put on their servers refreshing our statuses 4,000 a day.
  3. Congrats on the grades, I love how you can actually see them when they are done now. I wonder how many people sent in those exact books, I know I did. I sent 3 of each just to make sure I got 9.8s, figure I'll sell the others and still come out ahead compared to buying them straight up (also had a #3 in there, I loved Supreme growing up for some reason). All of mine are still stuck at Received at CCS. Hopefully they can get them up to 9.8s.
  4. Yeah, I'm still back and forth on whether to submit, I really wish there was a remarque option or I'd be all in, I really like those custom labels.
  5. And now my Bagleys have moved to Grading. Busy day! Now I just need Liefeld to move and for the Art Adams signing to get figured out and I'll be all set. I'm still deciding on the Peach and the Jim Lee signing, the Art Adams signing makes me hesitant (if you haven't heard some of them didn't get signed and there is no timeline to get them back).
  6. That's fantastic news!!! Mine is still at CCS, but hopefully we'll see some movement soon!
  7. Thank you everyone, this is why I love the message boards, it really good to hear that they aren't actually in CA with Art
  8. I've got 4 there for Bagley: 3 Spider-man #7s (1st Spider-boy) and one ASM 365 resubmit 9.8 all with remarks. Haven't seen any movement on them though, hopefully the remarks go better than the Adam's remarks (which if you haven't heard has become a thing, Adams did the signing and all the remarks are off in the wilderness).
  9. Nice, I'm terrified for my Roy signing, I sent my Marvel Premiere #1 in a 9.6 to a 3rd party grader with great reviews and they took it out of the case and kinda forgot to do anything with it except send it to CGC. So now I'm worried instead of getting a 9.8 (it was a great candidate) its going to come back a 9.2.
  10. Uh, wait what's happening? The remarks aren't done (I have one in there), and they have now been broken out of their protective slabs (I had a 9.8 slab) and what, shipped to California? Ya'll better be real soft on grading these or you're going to have a ton of complaints. There is no way I would have sent in my book if I knew that was going to be the workflow. This just seems like a disaster waiting to happen.
  11. My Brian Michael Bendis just moved to Scheduled for Grading from Received at CSS, Rob Liefeld just posted pics of him signing 1 million NM98s on X.
  12. Liefeld just posted an update that he’s in Florida all next week signing. Bagley said he’s wrapping up and I haven’t heard anything on Thomas.
  13. Stupid Hurricane, Liefeld had announced he was signing the week of Labor Day, that will probably be postponed for months. I hope this blows over and everyone is safe. CGC should open an office in Phoenix where there is never any weather.
  14. Looks like the Roy Thomas and Mark Bagley signings are happening now according to Instagram.
  15. I hate to say that I agree, but I agree. For bigger books, I feel I've finally learned my lesson, no more sending in books that were already graded. I get the disclaimer, but if it's not a paint pen signature that sticks to the case, the grade shouldn't change. The case design shouldn't create issues like color lift and we shouldn't have to worry about CGC employees or artists damaging books (there should be a clear and consistent process for CGC opening cases, and at least some weight should be given to the previous grade). There where a bunch of unsigned ASM #361 9.8s I thought about buying for the Bagley signing, but finally my brain let me stop and go just wait, the market is going to flood with those and if you wait longer you may find one signed by Stan Lee and Bagley you like better. It used to be I'd buy a unsigned 9.8 and send it in for a signing because it almost assured a 9.8 coming back, I haven't had any major issues yet, but people in the community are up in arms because it seems like there has been some change and a large uptick in grade changes.
  16. Agreed, something that at least notes something tangible for a grade. With the price bumps in service there should be some transparency with grading where a .2 difference can be thousands of dollars in losses or gains for a subscriber. I love CGC and their services, but like what is the QC step? It doesn't seem to do anything except take time. I have quite a few 9.6 that I've broken out and even after removing from the case they look perfect, I have one 9.8 that is a straight dog and should be a 8.0, none of them have any notes. I have another 9.8 that has notes like slight creasing to cover, which if anything makes less sense because if that's a 9.8, than what is a 9.6? And don't get me started on all these direct 10s and 9.9s I've been seeing coming out from places like Bry's Comics and Comic Mint. They all look 100% the same.
  17. Did you get it pressed by CGC after the signing? I've always been told its a must because some of the artist are rough on the books.
  18. Yeah, I've been worried about this. I have a NM 98 signed by Stan Lee in there that is a 9.8, I've been hearing of an uptick in grade drops in signings lately. I don't know it it the pre signing process, the actual signing, or if the pressing afterwards not doing the best job. I got a Nova #1 (1976) back that was a 9.6 signed by Wolfman and it stayed a 9.6, but every pressible flaw was still there (it had 3 non color breaking spine ticks, it still has 3 non color breaking spine ticks, I don't think they pressed it at all even though I was charged for it). I think when they get busy the post signing pressing is very minimal, like if it wasn't the only option there is no way I'd use them.
  19. Ditto, if anyone is interested Liefeld said on his show that he's looking at right around Labor Day to be at CGC to start signing. I put in a bunch of pregraded 9.8s including NM98 already signed by Stan Lee, I am praying that it stays that way.
  20. My Roy Thomas just got checked in, looking forward to the actual signings.
  21. The Bagleys just got checked in, I'll keep dropping status updates since I have a few different signings.
  22. Yeah, what I've got in now is: 1 Roy Thomas - Not Checked in, received Monday 1 Art Adams - Checked in almost immediately 4 weeks ago 19 Rob Liefeld - one week after Receiving to Checked in 4 Bagley - Received 6/29 not checked in yet 1 Benis Received 4 weeks ago, Checked in 5 days
  23. Man, I feel like a sucker now, I've been sending in CGC window bags with a board for each one and they are like a a buck each. I know that doesn't sound like a lot, but these signings get silly spensive.
