Finally got it back, not the 9,8 I had hoped for, but better than realistically expected:

Mine hit GEI on 10/08, so not first in line, but on the other hand my is still sitting there and hasn't moved.

Ditto, mine has been stuck in grading for a month.

I have a SS that's been there for a month, they've had the book since early June and is was supposed to be a 8 week total turnaround. 16 weeks and counting.

Crud, that's what I thought. I have to say I am terrified to crack open a bunch of 9.8s. I wish they would have a system for signings with less risk. I sent in a run of Strange Tales 178-181 in 9.8 to get Starlin to sign them and am already freaking out that they are all going to come back as like 9.4s.

This is right down the street from me, does any one know if they crack cases there, I've got a ton of 9.8s I want to get signed but am unsure of the process with already graded comics.

It depends, its part of my PC, bought it for like $12 during the crash. If its like 9.6-9.8 I'll probably keep it, anything lower I'll probably sell it and look for an upgrade. Still new to the CGC void, I'm slowly digging through everything in my collection, I think I have an okay idea of grades, its when things are like is it a 9.2 or a 9.6 where I become a babe in the woods. I'm finding so many blunted corners, minor staining, color breaking spine ticks in my collection its making me kinda sad :). Had a pile of news stand Wildcats #1, every single one has an issue with it, even had a Gold edition, minor scratch on the cover and two finger prints on the back. Still haven't pulled out my Thor #165 out yet though...

Well, shipped it out yesterday, getting it cleaned and pressed so I should get it back in 2042ish. I'll post the grade when I get it. Thank you for your feedback, I really do appreciate it. Wish me luck!

Hello Everyone, Last one for the day, I picked this up on Offer Up as part of a 600 book lot, total price = $100 for everything. The spine ticks don't look to be color breaking (C&P?), but the bottom left corner has me concerned. Thank you!

This is my first 25 book lot I'm sending in and I'm in the "I'm pretty sure these are in great condition" phase where your going through all your old books and like then are like mannnnn, spine ticks, discoloring, minor dent, sigh... I appreciate all your help! Much appreciated!

Looking to send this in for the SS event and wanted to get your thoughts on the grade, I bought a box of these and there is ever so slight case rub on the top spine of each and every one. This last one I'm trying to see if this a production issue, the ink under his left eye is slightly different color. I checked out the interior cover and didn't see any bleed through so I don't think its restoration. The ink looks faded in this shot, but its just the lighting. Thank you!
