  1. Merry Christmas! My annual Holiday Sales Thread will begin tonight at 7 PM CST. I'll be listing hundreds of books over the next month. In fact, I have no doubt that this will be the best group of books at the best prices that I have ever offered. Invoices will be sent in mid January, and no shipping will occur until that time. So even if you don't have enough cash right now, you have about 1 month to save up for your purchases. I've had my best year in comics, between my website and the conventions which I have done. I've been extremely active buying this year. Not only have I been setting stuff aside all year long for this sale, but I also have just purchased a huge collection of primarily high grade books. Many of these books will be offered here before anywhere else. All of these books will be accurately graded and there is a 100% satisfaction guarantee on all of them. There will be Golden Age, Silver Age, and Bronze age. There are keys, semi-keys, movie books, high grades, mid grades, and low grades, and as always, lots of books that you just don't see offered. Almost all of it will be CHEAP, heavily discounted in some cases! Lots and lots of bargains for the collector, and even room for dealers to make money. Lots of Neal Adams, Bernie Wrightson, and Jim Steranko! Frazetta, Schomburg, Baker, and LB Cole covers, GGA, Pre-code horror, Pre Hero Atlas, and cool Romance books that you just don't see. There should be something for everyone, and at a price you will like. Typical board rules apply. is king! I welcome reasonable offers by PM, but not 30 seconds after the book has been posted. And no editing of I'll Take its. If you click it, its yours. Payment - Paypal is the preferred method of payment, but I will accept checks or money orders. I also do time payments on purchases (combined or individual) of more than $500.00, but you must ask before clicking the I'll take it. I prefer NOT to draw payments out more than a couple of months, and if you do time payments with me, you can't be buying other stuff on the boards, while I am waiting for your payment . And typically speaking, I don't do discounts and time payments together. Shipping - I will ship worldwide. I use Fed Ex on large shipments (and purchases over $2000) and USPS Priority for everything else. USA Priority shipping begins at $8.00, and goes up from there. I do not use first class shipping for international. Priority mail is the only option, unless you clear it with me first. Listing schedule - This is a tentative schedule, due to potential family or holiday activities, but I will stick to it as nearly as I can. Thursday December 12th - 7 PM CST Sunday December 15th - 8 PM CST Thursday December 19th - 7 PM CST Sunday December 22nd - 8 PM CST Thursday December 26th - 6 PM CST Sunday December 29th - 8 PM CST Thursday January 9th - 7 PM CST Sunday January 12th - 8 PM CST - Grand Finale! The pics below are a tiny fraction of the stuff that will be offered. If you have questions or requests, please PM them to me. Thanks for looking and get ready to grab some books!
  2. Here is a preview of some of the stuff that will be listed tomorrow night. I can honestly say I will be offering the best books at the best prices of any sales thread I’ve ever run! This is tomorrow’s preview only! And there will be other stuff not pictured
  3. OK, I will be listing books this coming Thursday night at 7 CST. I've got about 3/4 of a box scanned and more to come! I'll post a little preview tomorrow.
  4. I’ll have to say it’s a clunkier functionality for me. If I am trying to look up 25 books from the same title, it’s a ton of back and forth instead of just scrolling down the page. Major pain in the butt.
  5. Hey everyone. Its that time of year again. I will be starting my 10th annual Holiday sales thread next week. I have been setting aside books all year for this, and I just bought a tremendous collection about 2 weeks ago, and many of those books will be offered here first. I haven't pinpointed the day of the first listings yet, but will begin scanning later this week. Could be Sunday night, could be Tuesday night. Anyway, I have been getting a lot of people asking about it, so thought I would put this out there.
  6. Lots of new stuff on the site and more coming next week! This is just a fraction! Check out the new arrivals here https://www.dalerobertscomics.com/c/new-arrivals
  7. I do occasionally. I recently sold a #1 cgc 8.5. If you want first shot, you can go register on the website and use the want list feature. You will get an email as soon as one is added to the site.
  8. Another group of Silver and Bronze CGC graded magazines up for auction! No reserve! Link will take you right there to bid. http://www.ebaystores.com/COMIC-BOOK-MADNESS/_i.html?rt=nc&LH_Auction=1&_sid=462329&_trksid=p4634.c0.m309
  9. I suppose I've sold as many high grade books over the past 25 years as just about anyone. I start specializing in high grade books because it was what I liked. I always wanted to have a book that looked as nearly like a brand new copy, fresh from the stand, as I could get. I think it is primarily a reminiscence of childhood and the thrill of getting those books for the first time. And frankly, many high grade books are just beautiful to have and to hold. I would always rather buy a collection of high grade books than sell those same books. I think many of us share the same thrill of finding a beautiful book that looks untouched.
  10. Very nice copies of some pretty nice books. Click the link to take you to the auctions. Thanks for looking! http://www.ebaystores.com/COMIC-BOOK-MADNESS/_i.html?rt=nc&LH_Auction=1&_sid=462329&_trksid=p4634.c0.m309
  11. Already posted but here are some of the images. I also had jla #92 and superboy 225. Turns out I was a Neal Adams fan before I knew who he was.
  12. Just need a Kang time slide movie to reset the characters to younger people. Thought they might do that in endgame with the reality stone.
  13. There’s enough message in the world. Especially Hollywood type of message. I’ll take the entertainment and leave the message to someone else. Someone might want to remind Marty, that these films are based on comic books
  14. I've always thought the best Spider-man issues are those where Gil Kane penciled and Romita inked them. Just check out the layouts in ASM #90, just fantastic. I'll give this a go. Spider-man - Kane/ Romita followed by Romita Batman, Green Lantern, Superman, Superboy, X-Men - Neal Adams Basically any horror stuff - Bernie Wrightson and Neal Adams Warlock, Captain Marvel, Superboy and the Legion - Jim Starlin Daredevil - Gene Colan followed by early Frank Miller Avengers - George Perez, Byrne Fantastic Four - Buscema (sorry Jack) Captain America, Hulk - John Romita X-Men - Jim Lee misc - Love Alan Davis, Farmer combination - Justice League the Nail was spectacular. Splash pages were amazing, reminiscent of ASM Ann 1 for splash greatness, really fond of Alex Toth stuff, Rich Buckler during the 70s was very good on most of what he worked on, early Sienkiewicz Moon Knight rocks, probably much more, but this is what comes to mind.
  15. As much as I would benefit from the perception of this being true, I haven’t seen any evidence of it. I’m still finding lots of good books. The sources may change but the books are out there.
  16. The first books I remember buying were Amazing Spider-man 90,93, superboy 175,176, detective #413. Might have been others but I was 4 or 5.
