  3. I dont know what the answer is. With USPS, they cant track the package once it leaves the US because they are no longer in possesion of the parcel (i am assuming this from conversations with PO workers).

That is why they have very limited tracking on international parcels.

FedEx is expensive, as is UPS, but for international, they are really the only choice if you HAVE to have tracking info as the package never leaves their posserion until taken by the addressee

  4. At the end of VCC I sold a copy of Daredevil #1 for $85 to BCC. I sent it off on 12/10/07 Priority Mail. He claims he never received it. I did not put delivery confirmation, nor insurance on the package, nor did he ask for it (I only charged $5 for shipping).

Anyway, it's been around 2 weeks and he says he's still not received it.

I have no history with BCC, but I know people on this board will vouch for my transaction rate / satisfaction (which is 100%).

He's demanding a refund, saying I should bear the loss since I did not insure or track it. I proposed that both of us to bear the loss as he did not ask for tracking / insurance either. I do have the receipt for the shipped item and intend to file a missing package report to the Post Office.

    Suggestions?

I thought Priority automatically came with tracking.

Anyways, unless there's good reason to believe that BCC is lying, I agree with what the others here have said, that it's basically the seller's responsibility to ensure safe delivery unless there is tracking and/or insurance. Given that the mailing took place during December, when the postal system goes crazy, I would say that both of you should give it at least 2 more weeks before reaching a settlement.

Since it's only been 2 weeks, this transaction is not even eligible for probation yet and probably should have been brought up in the Discussion thread instead.

Tracking only comes automatically with Priority if you purchase it online. Otherwise I agree with Tim wholeheartedly :hi:

I found out last week that USPS Express Mail (expensive $64.00) is the only way to get a tracking number for a package going outside of the U.S.. My question is how do you all ship international packages? Even on a small package shipping with FedEx can be VERY expensive. For a blank box the size of a USPS priority flate rate they wanted $104.00? (shrug) My package was going to France and I ended up taking a chance by sending it without a tracking #, but insuring it for full value.

    Thanks,

    CC

Great stories in all these. The Shock 13 has Frazetta's only solo story. The VOH 27 has a very nice Evans story that will make you look at a single cell quite differently in the future. Nice copies all.

Scott thanks for the info. I might crack that VOH out and read up on it! :foryou:

  7. thats a sweet sweet Cap 1, and thats only a 7.5 Superman#1.

Best copy vs (at best) 3rd best copy (if you consider the MH copy that had its restoration removed really a blue lable 8.0... I do)...

BUT - - - Cap aint Superman! and Superman is "very scarce" in unrestored HG compared to other GA keys..

So put me down for the Superman, ratty and all in its lousy 7.5 slab.

Do you know if there is a NM copy of Superman #1 out there?
