    7.5, with a good shot at 8.0...sweet book! At first glance the spot looks like a printing error to me. If you hold the book at an angle and look at it under light does the cover gloss appear to be missing at that spot? Also, do you see any evidence of the spot on the inside of the front cover? If so, it's possible that a piece of debris was stuck to the book at one time and was removed.

    Me too! I bought 10 copies thinking (hoping?) it would blow up...ended up donating all of them (along with a bunch of other books) back in 2001 or 2002.
