  1. After seeing all the awesome FF books in this thread, I thought I'd fish a few of mine out to share... At one point I was trying to put together a run of FF #1-60, but have only been able to get #8 and #20-60...with so many low numbers missing I decided to shift my focus to other runs I'm closer to completing, and enjoy the FFs I have. Here's my copy of FF #25 that I bought from @MrBedrock back in 2016...it was graded CGC 8.0, and I cracked out so I could read it. While I love this book, I thought Roussos's inks were not as good as some of Kirby's other inkers... Oh yeah, and I need to learn to take better photos!
  2. I can kick off the team-up issues... I remember reading a reprint of this story in one of the DC 100-pagers in the '70s, and really wanted to get a copy of this book for that reason. For some reason it's a tough book to find in decent grade (it took me 18 years to find this copy), and I love the color combination of green, purple, red and yellow on the cover...
  3. Just scored this book from @Superworld...thanks Ted! The first thing I noticed when I opened it was how white the pages are...not sure if this photo does them justice. Crazy to see this in a 60-year-old book, especially an early DC!
  4. Like @Terry E. Gibbs said, never say never and stick with the hunt...it took me 18 years to find this copy, which I picked it up from Graham Crackers back in 2018 at Wondercon...don't think I saw a copy this nice before then.
  5. Put me in the 3.0, with a shot at 3.5 camp as well...
  6. As it is, 3.0/3.5 (I'm having a hard time deciding between the two but am leaning toward the lower grade because of the severity of that bend)...if the book can be pressed I can see it bumping up to 4.0. I would look into getting it pressed just to get rid of that heavy bend.
  7. My Spidey-Sense is telling me that auction is not going to end well for the buyer...
  8. The artwork is indeed amazing...I think Kirby's work on JIM is some of his best.
  9. I just received this book I won in an auction at the end of last year...was a CGC 7.0 that I cracked out to read. I'm bummed that the story inside doesn't match the epic cover...Thor fights some guy named Thug Thatcher and his goons...
  10. What's your story @ADAMANTIUM? You've piqued my interest...
  11. Last book I won in an auction at the end of last year...cracked out CGC 7.0. One of my favorite JIM covers...took me a while to find a nice mid-grade copy without chipping.
  12. I was just thinking the same thing...if the Incredibles movies can do well, I suspect an FF movie with a great -script and the right cast could also do well.
  13. Another recent pickup...books that I won in a few auctions at the end of last year are rolling in. Cracked out CGC 8.0...
  14. Looks normal to me too...as @grendelbo stated, it just looks like a sloppy inner well seal.
