And here's today's low-grade offering.  The "10c" on the surfboard makes this look like it was a garage sale refugee that ended up at my LCS.  An entry in the "Loomin' Doom" collection.

Oh, man, that was the exact reason I started my scanning 3 years ago - a run through the Silver Age FFs in this thread.  I had just brought my collection out from the closet it's been in since 1997 (at that time, it was only 4 long boxes - but expanded quite rapidly) and, to my spouse's dismay, taken over the living room.  I would get up in the morning, grab that day's book, scan it and share it.  Really fun.

looking at the composition, negative space, the horse , the masterful way the clothing is done I would say baker cover, but maybe I’m biased since got copy ;) 

 

The MCS description does say "Matt Baker Cover" and "Stories and art by Howard Larsen and Matt Baker"

I'm known to the bartender at the local pizza joint as "the guy who likes Wild Turkey."  At my wedding, I gave one of my groomsmen an engraved flask and had it filled with WT.  I see it as "real" whiskey.  Burns the fur off my esophagus.
