The original, 1961 series goes through #416.  

The second series was 13 issues.

The third series was 171 issues

The fourth series was 16 issues

The fifth series was 18 issues

The sixth series was 48 issues

The "legacy numbering" (counting everything published under the name "Fantastic Four") is 645 issues through the fifth series, but the series all have their "#1!" issue probably because Marvel thought they'd sell more.

Based on fairly recent prices paid, I would probably get the 10 books I need between 9 and 25 in the raw equivalent of 8.5

I stop at #400 and this Annual.  I do have some FF TPB's and a few Volume 2 books.

Estate Sale today.  Has a 1950 copyright notation but is in better condition than I would expect from something actually issued in 1950.  In any event, if you need a Trail Boss to run your kid's Savings Rodeo, hit me up.

I've been stuck at one copy since about 1974, but this section of the run is probably due for an upgrade.  A lower-grade copy, obviously a garage-sale refugee although I'm pretty sure I picked it up from Apache Books which is where I bought the bulk of my Silver Age books in those days.

Not my thing but a pretty decent collection of "I shouldn't have stored these in that damp shed" cans at a local Estate Sale on my way home from work today.

There have been some pretty good sales of underground comix in the last couple of years, so there are clearly collectors on the Boards.

The books offered on here recently have really leveled up.

If “guaranteed hits” were possible it seems like that’s all any studio would make.

Somewhere around here @paqart posted pix of his picture-taking set-up which was awesome, but I can't remember if he was doing both slabs and raws or just raws.  I agree with KJ - I seem to have the best success outside.  It's very difficult to eliminate reflections.
