Ok, a question to pose to this crew, if I may…
If somebody gave you $20k and you could only spend that $20k on FF comics - what big FF book(s) would you choose to buy?
I’m asking because somebody in our ranks may soon do just that (not me, but one can always dream).
My vote is a sweet FF5.
But I’m just a Doom Bot with not much imagination, so I’m curious to hear from the other FF lovers here.
Based on fairly recent prices paid, I would probably get the 10 books I need between 9 and 25 in the raw equivalent of 8.5

So I get to my hotel in Glendale and on the wall behind the Customer Rep is a sign for "The Paperback Brewing Company" which is down the road from the hotel
Doesn't seem any relationship to the show but I may have to go down a can of "Hollywood Hellcats"
That seems super Karmic

Red Harvest is a great read. I've called out "back to Philly, Al!" in all kinds of crowd situations just for fun.

The books offered on here recently have really leveled up.

If “guaranteed hits” were possible it seems like that’s all any studio would make.

Also, don't forget. some of you need to get laid or get real jobs.
I don’t care what list you put me on. Once I sign off again I won’t be back on. Some of yall either need to get laid or get real jobs. It’s not that deep. Have a good one. ChadH
I do have a real job, and I'm always willing to get laid.

I mean, to be real, you're not wrong! Someone bought Dr Xs slabbed #57 and I was like "THANK GOD I DON'T NEED TO BUY A 3RD COPY OF THAT." I'm an unrepentant ho for that issue (and like 95 others under issue #100).
I'm the same with #73 (of which I have 3) because it's the first book I bought off the rack as a kid and still have. Read that thing to death.

Once again, I'm wowed by the generosity of this community. Thanks @Math Teacher and @paqart for your input. And thanks @MattTheDuck for taking a break from beating me to the punch on every FF book in a sales thread to offer advice as well
Just trying to protect you from yourself. One of the little services I provide around here.

WHOA! Congrats! That is a beauty! PS has anyone here published a guide or rig setup for shooting slabs? I can't ever seem to get a good pic.
Somewhere around here @paqart posted pix of his picture-taking set-up which was awesome, but I can't remember if he was doing both slabs and raws or just raws. I agree with KJ - I seem to have the best success outside. It's very difficult to eliminate reflections.

The merely obvious will suffice.
I don't know if this thread is 3 days early or 4 days late.

FYI, I'm looking for an incomplete Wings #64 with a nice cover...or just a nice complete cover for Wings #64 in case that's somewhere in your stack.

Copper Age Fantastic Four Appreciation Thread

The original, 1961 series goes through #416.
The second series was 13 issues.
The third series was 171 issues
The fourth series was 16 issues
The fifth series was 18 issues
The sixth series was 48 issues
The "legacy numbering" (counting everything published under the name "Fantastic Four") is 645 issues through the fifth series, but the series all have their "#1!" issue probably because Marvel thought they'd sell more.
