  1. To update - I sent an email and received a response that they know about the problem and are trying to have it fixed, but have been unsuccessful thus far. I was encouraged to call with my card number, which I did this afternoon. Book will be on it's way Monday. 19th Century tech to the rescue!
  2. Until very recently, the oldest book in my collection
  3. I had this exact problem at a different seller. Went so far as to call my CC provider about it. They did not even show an "attempt" by the seller.
  4. Today's grabs - lower mid-grade mostly. Saw these same books at a different Estate Sale a few weeks ago
  5. So I'm going to an Estate Sale tomorrow which has "1970s and 80s x-men" but "no rare issues." Any advice on which to grab if they're there??
  6. Picked this up today at a local Estate Sale. Spine is trashed but ok otherwise
  7. Not exactly the Estate Sale I was going to, but a pretty good start to the "weekend." Some with water damage and some rough treatment, but not bad for $2.21 each. Top 10 first, then grouped by title.
  8. No hopes for 9.8 with these. Probably the only collector in the US with back-to-back wraps/cuts like this.
  9. Latveria's a "land out of time" - fashion and hair styles can run 50-500 years out of date
  10. I had exactly the same experience with a book on the CL Exchange. However, I have also had success purchasing a book there - so one might say that it worked as intended. However, this is another thing about the way CL works that makes no sense to me. "They should" add a "listed date" and then expire listings after some period (3 months?) unless the seller actively re-ups the listing. The interesting thing is that - if many of these listing are fossils the seller has forgotten about - why are almost all the prices at or above today's FMV? If a book was originally listed 2 years ago, and then neglected, the current price should reflect 2 years ago + whatever crazy premium the buyer wanted. You never see this kind of huge underpricing on there.
  11. I agree the "Want to Buy" section would be the right one, except it's "Want to Trade" in your case. Do you have a sense of which "1 or several high value CGC graded books" you would be interested in in return for your collection? You have a lot of value there.
