  1. Yep same gig. I was trying to remember when they became community newspapers and whether it was just deliver to everyone and hope they paid rather than chewing you out and I’m sure you’re right. Failure can teach something valuable.
  2. It's a weekly - should have noted that. Incredibly, this paper still exists, although I think it's primarily on-line and is part of a large local newspaper chain here.
  3. Delivering the Valley Times was my first job. I "inherited" the route from the older kid who had it when he asked me if I wanted it. I learned a lot about myself, including that I had an unreasoning fear of large, aggressive dogs who liked to chase bikes. I don't know if this was a common practice, but I had to collect once a month from everyone on my route rather than the subscribers paying directly to the paper. I think it was $0.35 a month. That's how I found out I was too shy to ask people for money or overcome objections and would never be a successful salesman.
  4. I tell ya, the scene with the Mohel in that episode is one of the funniest things I've seen on television.
  5. I wish people had such a good grasp of what's actually important.
  6. Elon Musk claims to do the same thing, and he's a multi-billionaire!
  7. Currently, anyway, the last @DR.X book in my FF run.
  8. Is there a scene in that movie where SLJ's hair and beard look like that?
  9. Wrong Age, of course, but with all the Creature fans in this thread....
  10. One of my favorite titles back in the day. This is the only one of the first 50 I failed to get off the rack or via subscription. Certainly no high grade ones, but well-loved.
  11. Trying to figure out how to talk the Kroger manager out of these after the promotion's done.
