  1. A slightly oddball, but cool run nonetheless. I don't have any of them, but it seems that the first issue of Big 3 is the most common - is this correct? Foxes do not equal Timelys - sorry wrong thread. I think #1 is the most common - that was the first one I picked up.
  2. Won this fugly Big 3 #5 from Heritage last Sunday. Bad PQ and big honking FREE COPY stamp on the cover but one of only two on the census. Another run I am working - not particularly actively but if one comes up that I need. My other pieces of the run below as well.
  3. No, no, no, they are worthless, terrible books - not worth your trouble.
  4. Wow - I'm jealous. I've been working on a National Comics run of Uncle Sam covers and you're right. Tough in grade. Congrats
  5. Very nice! Local auction? Yes, I think these kind of flew under the radar. Cool. They went to a good home. I've often thought about a run of the Frazetta Famous Funnies but too many books and too little money. I've got 2 sets of the Russ Cochran portfolio prints and alas that may be as close as I get for a while.
  6. If you can't have Lou Fine then Charles Sultan did him pretty well
  7. That is a GREAT cover, for sure. Beautiful book.
  8. Too late for that. ps: How about showing off some of that Super Mystery run Oh great more competition Here's my graded issues. I have just a couple more that are raw so still a long way to go for a complete run. I try to pick these up as I find them and can afford them in between by Nedor runs. This low grader was my first foray into SMs. Purchased this one from Mr. Parker here on the boards raw. He had it graded dead on as a 6.0 with white pages. IIRC. This is the Detroit Trolley copy and one of my favorite covers.
  9. Love it - just stay away from the Super-Mysterys until I finish my run.
  10. heroic is a great little run for sure...congrats on closing out yet another run! if only you collected dc Congrats, BP! I finished that run and for me the #13 was my last one. Now I have 2 #13s But for sure a great run.
  11. Here's the whole story (all 6 pages of it). It looks kinda rushed to me but still pretty great. Favorite panel is page 2 lower left. Strangest is page 1 center right. Looks like he needs a strato-balloon to hold that pipe up. And thank goodness they gave him pants next issue! No one better than Lou Fine . After buying Alan Light's reprint of the Ray and Black Condor when it came out, I was stunned. Got me started on GA collecting.
  12. I added these three Speeds this week. Very nice PQ on them.
  13. Very cool books Good luck adding the Animal Comics #9.
  14. Seeing group shots like Rick and Primetime posted makes me appreciate how much my collection sucks Those books are phenomenal.
