I just blew most of my Clink, HA, and Wondercon money on this one. This is a book I have wanted for awhile and was too good a deal to pass up
That is a GREAT book!!!!!

One of the most under-rated Atlas series in my opinion!!!!
I totally agree. I always thought the World of Fantasy covers were much more interesting than those of the companion titles, World of Mystery and World of Suspense. In my opinion, WOF ranks right up there with the very short-lived Strange Worlds. Ditko, Everett, and Kirby -- what's not to like?
Very cool

This book has been posted a ton lately, but here is my new pride and joy. This is the famous/infamous book that Showcase-4 bought out a coffee can and then had pressed. Not even a hint of coffee smell through the CGC holder (sorta disappointing).
Thanks again Steve, was awesome doing business with you, hopefully we will do more in the future.
Truly awesome cover!

both sold for exactly $13,800 in 2005. Both are quite scarce, both are the highest graded copies, and both are Pedigree copies. Which one would you choose, and why ?
The Sub-Mariner - almost always Timely for me

Great books!
But you gotta post a closeup of that Astonishing #4!
Thanks - I love these covers. Here's a bigger shot of the #4:
-
Just got the last Astonishing I needed for my Marvel Boy collection so I thought I would post a group shot. Astonishing #6 doesn't have him on the cover but does contain a Marvel Boy story.

Impressive! Though I'd take the CGC out of the plastic sleeve for the picture. (thumbs u
yeah, that pic was taken about 1 1/2 years ago, I have learned since then, and added all but 60 and 64 to the group....28 out of 30 ain't bad, but man, they are tough to find!
Great books

The Sensation Comics run from 80-106 in mid to high grade has been my collecting focus the last few years. Since I haven't found anything to buy in the last 6 months I thought it be time to do a cool group shot of my progress. I tell you what, these issues have are challenge to find in grade and its been fun collecting them.
I'm hoping the 83 gets a 6.0 and the 102 gets a 4.5. The 105 is a sweet 7.0 bright white pager but suffers from overhang.I also collect earlier issues but they have to be affordable.
BTW, that is no stain on the carpet by the 105.
Bravo - very nice I agree with others - those Sensations are tough to find.

that's what it is all about!
Thanks

mr telerites, you are making quite the splash...impressive collection...keep on posting, maybe tell us a little about you and your collection!
Geez - I feel like a noob compared to so many of these other folks. Since landing here, I have really enjoyed these boards - a lot of good people here. And a lot of good books to see and talk about.

I love Cheslers - wish I had more - World's Greatest Comics. Here's my current Chesler collection in a group shot.

Nice!
Love that red robot with the tommygun!
Thanks. This may sound crazy but these Mystery Comics have my favorite Schomburg covers - maybe because of the obscurity. That's not to say that I don't love Schomburg Timelys and Nedors but these are just quirky.

A oddball group Mystery Comics and Major Victory:

Book 7 of 2008 arrived today
Its an ugly bugger but not that abundant...and the price was right.
Ugly but yet so beautiful. This is one of my favorite titles.

Here's a book I've had for some time but it is one of my favorite covers ever. I collect the usual great GA cover artists - Fine, Schomburg, and LB Cole but this cover by Walter Johnson just grabbed me.

Around 15,000 I'd say.

Almost finished with my Marvel Boy collection. I just lack one more Astonishing issue. I love the Marvel Boy and Astonishing covers. I added #1 recently:

Perhaps my favorite Kubert cover...
Very nice indeed! One of my favorite Kubert covers also.
