  1. Just awesome books Jon!!! Love that mini run!

you're getting love down here as well Jon; and get the 6--he's not on the cover but he is in the book.

It is a great run. I managed to get them all including the #6 but now I have to add Daring Mystery #6 and USA #7 for their Marvel Boy appearances. Does it ever end doh!

  2. gotta love closing a mini-run; just picked up the 210 to go along with the gap-toothed group shot below.

I really want a run of these. Isn't it true that Frazetta drew the cover of Weird Science-Fantasy #29 as the next cover for Famous Funnies?

Oh, did I say, very nice. Frazetta :cloud9:

  3. Wow. :applause:

Are you planning to complete the title?

Thanks everyone! :acclaim: I originally planned to complete the title but got bogged down trying to find a #4. I thought I had #9 an #10 but they are either in another box or traded away long ago. Interestingly (to me), the Mystic #1 is the first comic I payed triple digits for ($100) back in 1973. I saved my paper route money for 3 months! :insane:

Double your money and sell it to me for $200

I think it is great that you have kept it in your collection for such a long time.

  4. OK accomplished GA collectors....this one should test your very heart and soul.....both sold for a blended average of $12,000 back in 2002/03. Which one would you choose, and why ????

I assume most will take the MMC but for me - Fantastic Comics #3 - my 2nd all-time favorite Lou Fine cover (behind National #7).

  5. I hadn't really thought about how much my books are worth until recently. I sent in 10 books to CGC and of course had to assign a value to them. I was surprised when I saw the total insured value of a little over $4,000. These were mid-grade GA books. Most of my GA collection is made of similar books so it made me think - maybe my GA collection averages $400/book. Of course, they are worth only as much as what someone is willing to pay for them.
