I just started ordering my comics through an online service, so I will not see that issue for a few weeks :pullhair:

That's sucky Chris.... :(

Did that XXXombies come out?

Yes it did, but I didn't get to read it yet. It's sitting on my desk waiting for my next break :)

I bought and read XXXombies yesterday, and was pleasantly surprised. Some good humor in this first issue, and the porn atmosphere added ann interesting twist. Not for the easily-offended, to be sure, but a good read. Wouldn't mind if they found a different artist for the next arc, as these pencils are little too loose for my taste. The upcoming covers (especially the Jaws swipe coming for #3) look great.

I really enjoyed the first issue also! It was both funny and well done, and I like Dwyer's art quite a bit. He did the art on IDW's "Remains" mini-series, and I enjoyed that as well. I'm pretty excited for the second issue (thumbs u

"Zombies and Pornography... the 70s will never be nostalgic again!" :headbang:

I'd rather it just stay a comic. The X-Men comics were completely bastardized by the movie franchise. Anyone remember what the X-Men looked like in the comics before the movies came out? The comics have been made "more accessible" for the masses in a lame attempt to boost sales, like anyone that didn't read comics before seeing the movies is all of a sudden going to start reading comics after seeing them. meh

I'd sooner sign a petition to not make TWD into a TV show. It becomes a TV show and before you know it it's being published in color instead of B&W, the art changes, the raw language gets edited out, no nudity, tone down the violence, etc........

No thanks.

Alright, who checked out #43???

"Give daddy a kiss." :headbang:

Sick stuff. But GREAT.

I guess the only way to get infected is to die or have zombie saliva mixing into a fresh wound, because there was saliva and blood going into his mouth. Looks like Rick and the gang would've been ok feasting on that deer the zombie had been chewing on in an earlier issue.

After reading the Letter Hacks column in issue #43, I'm struggling to find out the"major" event(s) Kirkman HAD to tell in #43 that would have repurcussions for the future. Having relationship with Zombies? Maybe I'm missing it. I was a bit miffed about the same panels at the end, but at least he indicated those were "freebies".

Is it me or have we been been downgraded as a society with the use of computers? Letters columns used to be articulate, but you can easily tell that most of these letter hacks are truly that...knee jerk and mostly thoughtless responses to the content at hand. Being controversial so you can get an apology retract seems to be popular. I had no idea how much diversification means to comic fans. I really couldn't track most of the thoughts contained therein.

If anyone wants more examples, I hear the tired Terminator series will also be on a weekly Fox program starting in January. Granted, this wasn't a comic first (or was it--I'm not a drooling fanboy of that content), but if you can't catch the essential elements of what made the original content great, then it's just another Zombie fest. And I have a feeling Hollywood would royally f**k that up. It would probably be all chipper like Buffy where death is dealt "with a smile on your face" (I will give props to the series though--a case where the series was much better than the cheesy movie it was based upon).

It doesn't look like I'm making a point either. It must be time to write a letter to Kirkman.
