Popular Post namisgr
I believe Journey Into Mystery #84 may be the single hardest Silver Age Marvel superhero comic to find in CGC 9.0 or better condition. There are fewer graded copies at that level than for Tales to Astonish #27 or Fantastic Four #3. Popular Post Pantodude
Happy Friday the 13th! But did you know? Wikipedia: "According to folklore historian Donald Dossey, the unlucky nature of the number '13' originated with a Norse myth about 12 gods having a dinner party in Valhalla. The trickster god Loki, who was not invited, arrived as the 13th guest, and arranged for Höðr to shoot Balder with a mistletoe-tipped arrow. Dossey: 'Balder died, and the whole Earth got dark. The whole Earth mourned. It was a bad, unlucky day.' This major event in Norse mythology caused the number 13 to be considered unlucky." Doesn't this make JIM#85 (1st Loki) a special key even outside the comic book hobby! At least among superstitious folks. And, of course, 85 = 8 + 5 = 13! Perfect for today.
