"Not Yet Processed"

36 posts in this topic

You know, as with both my business and yours, one is more likely to take care of the more frequent or longest term customers first.

Gigolo?

I told you to never contact me here! Are you needing to make an appointment? :gossip:

Yes, and hurry!! The Viagra wears off in 2 hours! yay2.gif

Send them an email inquiring about what books you want. It may take them some time to get back to you as they are swamped with requests right now. The books haven't been priced yet, hence the "Not Yet Processed". And, yes, some books have been sold before they ever have prices listed.

You wouldn't know about the Spirit #5 would you? (shrug)

WELL, WOULD YOU?!?!?

I don't mean this to bash metro in anyway, but it does sit odd with me. I got a quote on a book, was too high, no biggie. But, They have so many other books I would like, but I just don't feel like going through the hoops to find out so I sent my business to Payette. Metro has a wonderful inventory, and I have always been happy with either the book, or in the one case the ease of the return. This though I think might actually be hurting them. Since we have all gotten spoiled on the quickness of being able to shop online, perhaps its best to just list things when they are ready?

Did it sell before you had a chance at it?

whats the first appearance of the Spirit? Was it in a newspaper comics section?

Yes -- Eisner was asked to create a new character for a syndicated strip.

and instead of one first issue and printing there are hundreds of different printings of the first issue? Each with a different newspaper's logo on the covers?

Is any one of them considered the true 'first'?

or considered "better" than the rest, like a NYC paper?

I didn't start this thread to Metro bash subliminal so feel free to move along.

I was just curious if others were encountering the same delayed response.

Also, I did follow up my "click to inquire" with a phone call the next business day and reached Frank who informed me that they were swamped. That was August 24th. I'll give them another week then purchase the book from another dealer who also has the issue, although probably priced higher.

I started a thread here so as not to hijack this one.
