Please grade this Hulk #139!

Here's one from the vaults... Has probably the best gloss I've ever seen on a 15-cent book, but just enough light wear to keep out of the highest grades. The spine has slight flaking at the top staple, as if the staple were pulling through a bit, but cover is still well attached there.

Actually, I think you're very much on the right track. Check out the top staple area on the back cover spine...it looks like a "halfway" staple pull (though again, the cover is indeed still attached there). I think that flaw alone would knock it out of 8.0+, tho I appreciate the higher grades.

Nah, slabbing fee would be about twice what it's worth. I'll probably put it up for sale in the next VCC.
