PGM: Amazing Spider-Man #46 1st Shocker

I'm planning on getting this book graded with my next batch of books. I graded it VF/NM. Grades and opinions appreciated. Thanks.

If so, it will clock in a bit lower than 8.5/9.0, which I'd otherwise agree with....

It's not dog eared if that's what you're asking. There is no matching line/crease on the opposite side of the back cover. Don't know if it's a crease or possibly a production defect.

Yeah, it does look like a crease, albeit a faint one. I'd guess the book will slab out in the 7.5/8.0 range, tho it presents much nicer.

I'm going with a 8.0 to be on the conservative side. I'm just not sure how much they will grade agains the corner ding. Also appears to have one or two hairline spine stresses that crack the color ever-so-slightly. Right edge also seems to be a little less crisp than high VF or better might have.

 

I still can't get over how much brighter the colors are on your copy as I just reread my copy last night. VERY sharp looking!

Believe it or not most of these books were stored unbagged and unboarded pretty much up until about two years ago. There were kept nicely stacked in large cardboard boxes inside a closet since time of purchase.

I think 8.5 the gf agrees this time. Just a defect too many for 9.0
