Miracleman Blue/Gold

So what is the deal with these books? What do they typically sell for -- how do you tell a "blue" from a "gold"?

Basically, Moore signed and numbered 400 copies for the 1985 SDCC and they came with a gold certificate (sold for $50 at the con). He also signed an unnumbered set of books and they came with a blue certificate (sold for $20).

 

I'm not sure of the recent prices but I recall seeing gold editions selling for over $1000. They are not easy to find and, if you have the disposable cash, worth picking up if you're a MM completeist.

They're definitely hard to find. The graded gold is, in my opinion, worth every penny.

Wow, over $2000 for a book where you can't even see the autograph. This is where I don't like slabs.

I've got a Blue edition that I purchased at the 85 SDCC that I would sell for $800 + shipping and I'll throw in a 1985 SDCC program guide.

 

I know the guy who has the #1/400 Gold edition that told me he would sell it for $2,000, PM me if you're interested.
