Thanks much. As for Frog-Man, the adjective Fantastic was already in use at this time. I guess The Frightening Frog-Man, The Fearless Frog-Man, and The Frantic Frog-Man were not quite stable character names that Stan 'the Man' Lee wanted to bring into the Panthenon of Marvel Super Heroes. Of course, he could have just opted for Ribbit as a character name. Moreover, when you look at Steve's depiction, there is nothing menacing about this character....
