Good Deal or not?

It is hard to say I was thinking about bidding on that auction myself. My personal choice is to reslab it with CGC they are more consistant (superior) w/ their grading and resto checks. If the book grades the same w/ CGC is will bring the "value" up although I am not sure if the grading fees will cover the possible profit gain. Two of my graded copies are from the other company one is a 9.0 and the other a 9.2. I will be submitting these into CGC when I get a chance as I believe these will hold the same grade w/ CGC, if I didn't I would keep them as is and resell. Hopefully I will send them in before X-mas.

Oh yeah, and to the second part of my post. Do you guys think it is worth getting it regraded by CGC? Eddie

I would crack it, and get a Neal Adams Signature Series. It is the perfect grade for it.

I could be interested in the 9.2 if you decide to let it go. I already have a 9.0 CGC.

The scan is pretty small to examine closely enough to determine its resub appeal. In general, I think resubbing to the same company is a loser's game; however, since this is PGX and the CGC label will make the book more valuable, it could be worth it. It could set you back 50 dollars to get it graded since it is an older book even if you go economy tier (with shipping both directions). That expense will basically cut into any profit you expect as a result of obtaining the CGC label.

If the book is a legitimate 8.0 then it was a great deal. I was thinking of bidding on it, but based on my most recent small scan PGX 8.0 auction experience I decided to pass. PGX is tight with anything 9.0 or higher, but it can be a crapshoot for grades lower than that. In any case, I hope that the book is an 8.0 or higher grade :wishluck:
