  1. This may actually be a positive once the dust clears. CGC will likely make changes both behind the scenes and publicly which should provide more certainty/trust in their product which has been lost in a select portion of their consumers. These false 9.8s should be removed from the census lowering the number of 9.8s out there of these keys. some by possibly 3% and 10% if the counts are correct thus making them harder to find stabilizing their value or even slightly causing an increase. CGC QC will improve likely at least for the forseeable future and they may become more strict in their grading cautioning on the more conservative side as there will be increased scrutiny. I am far from a cgc apologist, but this may be a kick in the butt they need to improve.
  2. Thing is this is just the books that were sent for reholdering. You have to realize that the whole slabbing resale has been compromised. Every book that has a high price disparity between say a 9.4 and 9.8 is subject to this scam. Why send in for reholdering which is how this guy was caught. Simply crack open the slab slide in the new lower grade copy reseal and sell that. Submit the other book raw later. You can literally have a couple seed copies to get the 9.8 label and a large amount of lesser graded comics to repeat the process over and over as you get the newly slabbed books back. Example look at Star Wars 1 a ton of copies graded out there and the price difference is a pretty large.
  3. Has anyone looked at SA keys that tend to have pinups missing Like FF 5 first Dr. Doom to see if any of those look off?
  4. yep, I have to dig up a picture of it, but Fer Franco owns it out of Peru
  5. Its on my list. I use your research to help pin down what variants I am missing
  6. Here are two of other four known copies along with two U.S. and and Pence. Yeah I have a problem...
  7. Very Rare book. It's the fourth copy I know of after yrs of searching and talking to collectors from Mexico and other Spanish speaking countries
  8. Just so you don't think I just get Spanish Comics from Mexico. Here is Rawhide Kid 24. or Australian #10 published by Horwitz in July for 1964.(possibly Horwitz can be difficult to date) Love the swapping of the Red for Yellow.
  9. It took me yrs to find the 1st copy. This was a grail book for me. Little did I know a few months later I would find a second copy in Argentina. Where once there were only two known copies there are now three. Very happy to own a second copy. I can now verify that yes it is dated 8/1960 in the indica.
  10. I am going to have to seek out a UK edition of RHK 17 eventually such a killer book
  11. Second Grail acquired. I spent a few years trying to track a copy of this down as well as the Rawhide Kid 17. The La Prensa (Mexican) Two Gun Kid 60 version once again is dated prior to the U.S.. Oct. 1962 as compared to Nov. 1962. Couple minor editorial changes to the face and a glaring omission of the bullet on the U.S. edition. I assume it was removed due to the comic code.
  12. Here are a couple more Kid Colts next to their Mexican counterparts. In these two cases the Indica on the Mexican Editions state April with the US stating May. I was lucky to find two of the 98s.
  13. Another La Prensa. Kid Colt 107. or Flecha Veloz 100. I need to buy a U.S. copy again and a UK. I figured this one existed, but could not verify that it did until I found this copy. Colors are kinda wacky on this one. A issue I run into with the Mexican Editions is that no one cares too much about them in Mexico so there are no detailed listings of what issue is what for these. There is a large void of knowledge which I am working through to at least get info on the Kirby issues and a few others to create a list.
