Yet, it seems your choice for protecting these books (storage on a metal rack, exposed to elements, and falling over other comics) will lead again, to such further adventures in the near future?

I cant see the pictures you posted in this thread in my job. I can only imagine right now the job your cat did on your comics. My dog the other day thought it was a good idea to start chewing on a long box i had sitting on my bedroom floor. She ate a whole corner of the box!!!! That is a bad feeling!!! She did not get to the comics but she came close!!! I have heard of the dreaded mouse chew....but a dog chew???
