ok ok..but what about the retailer sketch cover..does that count?

 

It's a cool book, but in my mind, there's a difference between a One-of-a-kind book and being the first of many SS books. In my eyes, if in a year yours is still the only 9.8 SS book (sketches/signatures are irrelevant here), then SURE it belongs here. Don't get me wrong, it's still a nice book, Adonis! I'd be proud to own it! (thumbs u

 

It was mine...I told Atkins that I wanted him to do it with a silver Sharpi..Dan liked it, so he got one too.

 

One-of-a-kind, huh?

 

The difference is mine is on the regular cover and ONLY has Roberts signature

 

Adonis's is on the Retailer exclusive sketch cover and also has Chuck Dixon and Christos Gage.

 

So yes each is one of a kind (for right now)

 

The rules set by the OP makes the signatures/sketches irrelevant in most cases. Whether he's got 1 sig on it or 10, a 9.8 SS is a 9.8 SS in this thread. In this particular case, they're two different variants of the same book, so they'd both qualify to be here so long as no others are made. (thumbs u

The technicality of this book being new got it in this thread. I'd say if the book has been out for a year and it's still the highest and only on census, THEN post it back here.

EDIT: OK, there are actually 3 SS books, all of which I had done at NYCC. The other 2 were 9.2's (one White, one OW to White) and have both been sold since.

the Shi is a 9.8 butI don't think it's the only census.. maybe two or three

I just checked the census, my Spiderman 300 Black Italian edition is the ONLY SS and highest graded at 9.0, it got knocked down from a 9.4 though. Four terrific signatures on it..can't wait! L'uomo Ragno 91 (Star).. :banana:
