The rules for this one will be simple so there won't be any ambiguity. The point of this Survivor Series is to crown a favorite SA Artist. This isn't about who's the "best" or "greatest", but who is your favorite from amongst the list. Like the previous one, we will start by VOTING OFF YOUR TWO LEAST FAVORITE ARTISTS. One of the best apsects of the last Survivor Series was that we were all exposed to spectacular art, much of it many hadn't seen before. It's all about looking at pretty pictures and having fun. So let's get this thing rolling (thumbs u

Wasted one of my first votes by going for Tuska and Infantino.

Tuska won't have too many fans in the Silver Age, but I know that many

consider Infantino as awesome....but I always found his work too, I don't know - FLAT - for four color superhero comics.

Maneely & tuska for me. I didn't see Don Heck until after it was too late, or Maneeley would have stayed. Tuska though.. .Yeesh!

Maneely? MANEELY?

Whoever you are, please let shiverbones out of the basement and back on his computer. This is sorta freakin' me out!

And Matt Fox in the Silver Age? I love Fox's quirky woodcut style, but depending on where you draw the line, there's not much Silver Age Fox.

Watcher: THANKS FOR STARTING THE POLL. Fun stuff.

OK, here is my logic for Maneeley

I do like him. I never loved him though. I think when he is on, he is incrdible, but when off, I just don't like it. Also, most of my favorite work he did was pre-code, so while I really do like him overall, He does not represent the SA to me at all. In a GA poll, he would have lasted many rounds. If he was not killed early, he would likely have had a huge impact on the SA< and I'd vote differently.

As for Fox, he did as much post code as pre, but not nearly as nice, and usually teamed up with Lieber.

I like Maneeley, especially his pre-code horror work, but not really as a silver age artist.

Most of his Atlas stuff qualifies as Silver Age for the purpose of this poll. Anything from 1954 up to approx 1970.

I'd have to put that 1956-1970. I can't put pre-code work in the SA at all.
