2008 GRADING CONTEST: ROUND 8

182 posts in this topic

Updated the Results page to show the POSITION from the PREVIOUS ROUND. This should make it easier to see who is moving up or down the rankings.

For instance, Flee-Marquette dropped 45 places in a single round while greggy, Ze-man, and Zipper68 gained 26 spots in the last round.

That's a cool addition. Could you show up ticks/down ticks using pluses and minuses?

Sure. Would that be easier to read? (no prob.) hm

I assume the intent was to use colours to denote up/down, but my copy shows only standard text.

Yeah.. that's the next step. I was thinking up and down arrows.. but then thought people might be more interested in seeing the actual placement.

Some of the fluctuations are pretty startling...

The cool thing is that this is all automated in a spreadsheet now so anyone (Silvers or me) can use it by just cutting and pasting Nik's raw results. (And reformatting his data a bit.)

If it's all right with Nik, I'm going to donate a special prize for the player who scores the most Bullseyes (5 point rounds) throughout the Grading Contest.

Hopefully, it won't be the eventual winner. :wishluck:

That's a very cool addition and adds to the fun. I feel like I'm watching the daily stock ticker now. (worship)
