2 comics stolen from Terry's Comics at WW LA!

I'm posting this for Terry. It'd be great if everyone can be on the lookout for these two books, whether at your local shop or on eBay, commission sites, etc.

We had a couple of books stolen from us at the Wizard World L.A. Show.

They were a copy of Brave and the Bold #1 in about 7.0 to 7.5, this was a

unique copy in other ways beside the grade because it was signed by Joe

Kubert on the 1st page if the Viking Prince story. We also had a copy of

Wonder Woman #6 in about 8.0 grade stolen it had some lines on the back

cover. There is a police report filed with the LAPD so if these books turn

up they are to be confiscated and the LAPD is to be contacted. The most

likely suspect was a guy named Tony, he had his name tattooed on his neck.

He also had a iPod or PDA containing pictures of Hulk #1 Marvel Comics #1

and two other books. We will pay a reward for the successful recovery of

these two books. Help us help you by not allowing Thieves to prosper from

us. If you have any info on these books call us at 1-800-938-0325.

Thank you.

Just got the email from Terry. Appears the thief was none too clever to pinch a book (the B & B 1) with such unique markings. And if you want to evade attention, don't tattoo your name on the back of your neck. doh!

Hopefully Terry will get the books back pronto...

I saw both of these books in person before they were stolen, and also spoke with the individual in question (who suddenly disappeared after making numerous boasts hm ).

There is more to the story, but best to release only needed information until the situation/investigation is resolved.

If you don't spill the beans, we'll all assume you were Tony's wheel-man. :baiting:

Wonder Woman #6, is the toughest book in the run, there are virtually NONE out there, so that should be easy...Gator and I were looking for years, till we found one, and nothing is around in that kind of grade...It's going to be hard to sell that on Ebay and not have someone notice it.

That is assuming he stole to sell. Might get away with it in 10-20 years when he unloads it if he stole to collect.

That sucks. Terry is a nice guy and will talk your ear off if you're interested. I've bought from him before and probably will again when he comes to town next year. I hope they catch this guy.

I thought Terry had cameras

Personal ones? I doubt it. He usually shares a booth with Harley Yee (I still laugh at the conversation he had with this dumb gopher about messing up his lunch) at the con I go to, and I don't recall any booth using video surveillance. There were usually 3 people at that booth and somebody was almost always watching people browse.

With USB webcams a dime a dozen, any dealer of high value comics should have at least 3-4 in their booth, all running back to a laptop, or a old clunker desktop, that just records the feeds. Most shows I've been to do have AC outlets for the booths (or at least an extension cord).

It would be easy to do, and with one boost like this one, would pay for itself.
