Avengers #74......may I call this a 9.8?

Ok, I was just sorting through and grading some raw books, and I found this puppy. I knew I had it, but I don't think I ever really stopped to look at it, becase I bought it in a lot of a few other very high grade Avengers books. I found virtually nothing wrong with this in my hands, and it was only after I looked at the huge scan that I saw a very faint stress in the area of Vision's cape, and a very small color flake(looks like a stress, but it's solely on the surface of the book) on Vision's leg. If it wasn't for the larger than life scan, they could go unnoticed. I want to call this a 9.8, but I'm hesitant. I'm not selling it or anything, but it's for my own records, so what do you guys think?

i see a colour breaking stress mark on visions leg next to the spine, looks 9.6 for sure.

I say 9.6...there are a couple more spine flaws Still a solid book

Actually, as I mentioned above, when I looked closely at it, it looked more like a color fleck than a stress.

I see another one in the white area below the Vision's leg and some other spine wear up towards the middle of the spine.

No one can predict what CGC will call a 9.8 one week to the next, but that puppy has CGC 9.6 written all over it, especially since the cover has a lot of black on it.

Regardless of what CGC says......I doubt anyone has a nicer copy than that.

I say 9.6.

But who cares?

9.6 or 9.8, it's a fantastic looking book.

I go along with the 9.6 also because of a couple of printing defects which the uber-grades start tallying: the white in the cover price and also in the lower right below the window and above the middle finger. A most handsome book!

I personally grade it as a 9.2-9.4, but it is an older book so that was taken into account when I gave it a 9.6

I ain't no hater, but if this is a 9.4, then almost all my other books, slabbed and raw, are really overgraded.

It's most likely a 9.6, however, is there a pressed out light crease in the LRC? I see a light line heading from the right of the bottom right window..?
