893frustrated.gifOf all the Beautiful looking Golden Age and Silver Age books that are high grade at the Heritage Signature auction. Not to mention the Amazing Spieder-Man #19 in 9.9 condition. I cannot believe you chose to spotlight those two books. They got a copy of Hulk 180 and Hulk 181 both in cgc 9.8 condition!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, apparently there is this Wendigo character that everyone seems to love. There is talk of a film in the works about the Wendigo.

Lots of great books in this auction (as usual). They are coming so fast (i.e. every 3 months) that you almost have to wonder how long this can last. It seems that high quality books will eventually have reserves that are so high that they really won't sell many of these books.

 

Still, I love it as it gives me a chance to pick up a few books at very fair prices.

Yeah, that's basically what happened to Sotheby's in the early 90's, and I can remember a ton of high-end books at nosebleed reserves that had no hope of selling. One of their auctions had the Pay Copies up for bid, and they didn't even approach the reserves.

 

Once that starts happening, Heritage is either only going to accept "realistic reserve lots" or be forced to get out of the biz like Sotheby's.
