Indeed, Wall-E at number 2 for the summer. I agree that Iron Man is going to do well. I predict it will rise to become the third highest grossing Marvel film property, behind Spidey and X-Men.

yeah, you're probably right...

But to be fair movie tallys should count tickets sold unstead of $$$ made

so that the older classics would still be in the hunt.

(Because with ticket prices these days setting a record is a snap)

But then again us americans are hooked on big hoopla, big cash cow hoopla that is...

:insane:

I'm a little surprised about all the love for Indy.

Does anyone under 35 know or even care about these movies? And has Harrison Ford had a hit movie in the last decade?

As far as summer blockbusters go, that is not much of a list to choose from. I'll go with Iron Man since I'm supremely bias.

Well guys, which of these are you definitely going to see in the theatre?

Besides Indy IV?...

hm

probably going to have to see them all except Speed Racer, Hulk and Wanted.

most of them I don't particularly want to see (Get Smart, Narnia 2) but wife has already indicated we'll be going.

I think they are factoring in the nostalgia. I'll get a brick thrown at me, but I am in no hurry to see it. (shrug)

I'll go a level further. I didn't care for the first 3 that much and will probably never see this one.

Most people if honest would agree with you when it comes to #2 and #3, but they feel like they're doing something wrong if they admit it.

I think we're all going to be surprised by two things: How well Iron Man does and how poorly (relatively speaking) Indy 4 does.

Sure there is a hunger for an Indy sort of film or National Treasure wouldn't have made so much money but it's probably been too long and Mr. Ford is probably too old.

I think this summer's top grossers will be:

1) Iron Man

2) Wall-E

3) Indy 4

4) Dark Knight

5) Hellboy 2
