Too bad we suck for some reason this season - add Amonte and a good backup and your team gets worse - go figure.

I think if you look over the teams Amonte has played for going back to his early days as a Ranger, he's not exactly a harbinger of success. I had him on my Strat-o-Matic Hockey team for three years and his failure to play defense has caused problems for every team he has been on. He has a bit of Mike Modano syndrome. When he's giving his all, the rest of the guys on the ice look like juniors... but too often he skates through his shift like he doesn't care...

 

Now if Teppo could return to the form he showed last March... then I think the Coyotes should do just fine...

Yeah well, the roster of players the Flames have let go over the years is depressing enough without Iginla leaving... How many franchises have let that many 50-goal scorers leave? Hull, Mullen, Fleury, Roberts, Nieuwendyk... I think Jerome needs to stay right where he is...
