Did the real story ever come out as to why Tony Moore left the series?

Paging Evilash ...Paging Evilash

I thought I read somewhere that someone made him do something he didn't want to do.

Oh wait that was DAVIDSON!!! in re: to Douglas's little socialism experiment.

I heard that Adlard challenged Moore to a game of H-O-R-S-E and won

I thought I'd heard it was Risk and that Moore had made the critical error of trying to hold onto Asia early in the game. 7 extra men at the beginning of every turn but just a little too tough to hold yeah?

Tony Moore is the better artist, but I think he'd a d for leaving the book.

Nah. It seemed like he and Kirkman were arguing a lot. Kirkman was pissed that Moore couldn't meet the deadlines. I'm not sure he was being a "d" so much as he was just frustrated. I think that Kirkman might be sticking with Adlard even though Adlard's been mailing it in for the past year or so because he chose Adlard over Moore and doesn't want to seem like he made a mistake. Personally, I really liked Adlard's style (even thoughI preferred Moore) but now I think it might be time for a change again. I seriously doubt that will happen though.

I do know the real reason why Tony is not on the book anymore. Tony and Kara explained it me as we were doing the SS books from Tony's collection. Not something that needs to be told as it really should be between Robert and Tony at this point. But I will say Tony was forced with a decision and made it. And he doesn't regret it either.
