Some good stuff ending tonight.

They didn't seem to get too high at all.

 

That's part of the problem.....nobody thinks its to high anymore. Maybe the WD justifies the prices. Last year there were some really good deals going on during convention time. I picked up some nice under 48 pages 300-400 each.

That one page with the Grimes family has been listed MANY times before. I'm pretty sure I've seen it go well above $1000 and not hit the reserve. I think people are just getting wise to the seller.

 

On the Michonne page only half the panels were originals. I'm not sure what the seller was looking to get on that but I think the reserve was too high whatever it was.

I have but a small % of the WD OA market as a whole.

Most likely started over in the UK and trickled over to here lol

So the cover goes to 7200 and doesn't sell.

It's interesting. It's a HUGE moment from the comic and very memorable. It's also two 11x17 pages with no stats, and content wise, better than most splashes and covers.

 

That said, it's pretty gruesome, and I actually believe that pages depicting gross/stomach churning moments go for slightly cheaper. I'm guessing this ends between $4,500 and $5,100

I guess $7000 is what WD covers go for whether old or new.

I'm not one to get behind the reserve theory...

 

But I think the reserve had something to do with it.

 

Considering MUCH lesser covers have cracked 10K, who knows. Maybe there are only a few people affecting the prices for these covers :whistle:
