Here is a progress pic of my ASM #33 Cover OA recreation after Ditko! I'd be finished if not for the carpet cleaning company on the 2nd floor making it nearly impossible to concentrate.

The blue lines are of my pencils (scanned and changed to blue line in photoshop) that have been printed onto a blank 11x17 comic page. Not looking forward to the logo.

Updated.. I colored one of the copies I made of my finished inks. Pretty happy with it.

Not sure what to do w/ the set now. Maybe a huge multi-panel frame!

(sorry for the crappy pic)

I bet that was fun to work on. I can almost feel the energy coming out of it

All done :)

My degenerative arthritis makes inking the numbers and smaller letters a real pain (literally).

Now I need to finish the DD recreation, but 1 day off per week isn't helping.

This came out looking great!

Here's my version of Frank Cho's Scarlet Witch splash page from AvX #0.

I showed it to Frank a week or two ago and he said, "Hmm... the original is way bigger."

Then he grabbed a pencil and made some changes (for the better) to her face for me, but I haven't made a new scan of it yet.

This is my first commission. It's one thing to paint for your own pleasure, but it's a little nerve wracking when someone is paying you.

In the end, though, I'm pleased with the results. All told, it was about 7 hours of work spread out over 8 days.

It's oil on canvas, 12" x 16".
