They have gone to far.....

I think I may have some sort of explanation for this.

Back in the 1960's, DC editor Julius Schwartz remarked that,

"Everytime we stick a gorilla on the cover it sells twice as much."

or something to that effect. Hence all the gorillas in the DC universe.

Kids like gorillas, chimpanzees and monkeys.

It's a attempt at marketing to the kids.

i was going to say it seems like something D.C. would do

DC did this back in 1999

They went 'too far' a long time ago...they just continue to drift off into irrelevance.

Agreed, most of the new stuff is pedestrian. if anyone had talent it be real easy to become a real player in the comics industry(much like the Brits did in the 1980`s) but they don`t pay good. thankfully they have the movies or they be out of business along time ago.

Yah...but those were ape characters.

not characters redone as apes.

this is silly.

unless there's a Grape Ape movie that Marvel has the rights to or something like that.

Captain America #41 this week has an Ape variant.... and I have to get a NM+/M copy for my slabbed set :(

:hi: Hiyo!

hm Why dont you just go completely ape on the fact that their is a varient in the series of Captain America and let me rated your... ape varient reaction?

P.S.

:wishluck: I wish I could finally complete my own run of Ed Brubaker's Captain America with no original owner besides the store I got them from in NM/M condition. Missing few issues though and plus, need a second job to support submitting them into CGC to be rated as hopefuly such.

hm What a world we live in, eh?

(worship) Long live my ever growing DC collection! Marvel... suck on the dust that DC leaves behind them for you to breath from!

P.S.S.

I urge you (Marvel-lites) to check out DC's current Superman/Batman #51 issue, because it is way more orignal/interesting take than Marvel's upcoming... im going ape's because we have no brain/ideals universe!
