Anyone collect "Prince Namor-The Sub Mariner"......

...second series 1968-74 1-72 issues. I have been putting together the run for little over a year now. Pretty much a second tier charecter in the MU, but one of my favorites. There are a few keys in the run #5 1st Tiger Shark, #8 Subby vs Thing w/ black cover and #9 1st app. the Serpent Crown, #14 Death of Toro,#35 prelude to the 1st Defenders story. I'm also enjoying the current "Namor" run.

I only have a few of those issues. My favorite is probably #52, with the Sunfire cover. I just really like that cover. I've always liked Namor better in guest appearances in other books for some reason. I'll have to check out his new series, though....

That figures, but hey there still going to spend millions to make the movie according to comics2film. Well, at least they'll get my $8.

Which is sad really because he is one of the oldest characters. I guess water based charcters just don't garner that much popularity. Just take a look at Aquaman, which gets the same amount of respect Subby does. I wonder who is stronger?

If Subby can battle the Hulk and Thing, then I think he would break Aquaman in half. When have you ever seen Aquaman battle Superman. Hey, but at least Aquaman' s hair looks wet when he comes out of the water!!

Namor would break Aquaman in two before breakfast and still have time to go mano a mano with the Thing while the coffee was brewing.

I always though the Sub-Mariner was cool. I always thought he was better than Aquaman. Sub-Mariners series seem to come and go. I may have to collect the Silver Age series while the prices are still cheap!!!
