It is about time that Matty got a little love here on the boards.

He is sooooo cute!

I agree. Matt is soooo cute, and Mr. Nelson kind of resembles that strong man on the paper towels.

The Wolverine miniseries in 1982 begins with Wolverine saying, "I'm the best there is at what I do. But sometimes what I do isn't very nice."

It is the name of my Wolverine miniseries registry set.

Ok thanks!

Excuse a newbie question:

The new labels don't say anything about them being pressed.

Is that right?

If you tell CGC they have been pressed, would they put that on the label?

lol Not very likely.

:gossip:some auctions sites wont allow you to state a books been pressed either.

But it isnt restoration. Its ENHANCED (thumbs u

:baiting:

I'm curious as to which auction sites you are referring to????

And the name of my Wolverine gallery on CAF plays off of that line. Wolverine- The Very Best At What He Does. Ok so there is only one piece in that gallery right now but he's holding a decapitated head, so I would say that qualifies as not very nice.

I sent an All Winners #1 to Matt a few years ago. I bought it as part of a medium sized collection and unfortunately it had some amateur restoration. I sent a couple of scans to Matt, he gave his recommendations and I sent him the book. I was amazed at the work he did and how beautiful it looked when done. I still kick myself for selling it later.

I finally met Matt and Stephen Ritter this summer at the SDCC. Both were friendly, class acts and I wouldn't hesitate to send more work Matt's way. It's great to hear from another satisfied customer.

Congrats on the books.

WOW...so any new label you buy in 9.2-9.6 has been pressed pressed pressed!!

Pressing has been going on for quite some time, old label, new label, really doesn't matter.

But as Pat said, not every high grade book has been pressed. In fact, I'd still wager the majority of high grade books haven't been pressed.

No. Not every book is a candidate for pressing. John purposely sought out 9.4 books with pressable defects hoping to garner 9.6s.

Probably not wrong.

But how long do you think we'll be able to say this?

Because with 9.2s and 9.4s, a hell of a lot of the defects are pressable for a shot at a resub.
